moreResolved Question: french help!! please :(?
i am trying to translate this baguette recipe in english to french. I don't know how to use it in proper way. Please help =[
here it is :
Preparation Time: about 25 minutes
Cooking Time: about 25 minutes
Resting Time: about 4 hours, 30 minutes
Ingredients for French bread baguette recipes:
4 cups Flour
1 tbsp. Dry Active Yeast
1-2 tsp. Salt
2 cups Warm Water
Oil for bowl
How to make it:
1. In a bowl, mix together the flour and the salt.
2. In another bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and half of the flour/salt mixture. Using your hands, mix until it forms a dough. Then, cover with a dish cloth and let sit at room temperature for 3 hours. It should triple in size.
3. Gently incorporate the rest of the flour/salt, using your hands.
4. Place on a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes. It should be supple and elastic when you stop kneading.
5. Lightly oil a bowl. Place dough in bowl. Cover with a dish towel. Let sit for 1 hour. It should double in size.
6. Preheat oven to 450°F. Knead again. Then cut dough into 3 parts and form each part into a long baguette. Place on a baking sheet. Let sit for at least 20 minutes.
7. Place a bowl of water in the oven. Bake baguettes for about 25 minutes (maybe less). Remove the bowl of water after 15 minutes of baking.
Voilà!
Tip for French Bread Baguette Recipes:
Baguettes are particularly crusty and light because they are cooked at extremely high temperatures and are vaporized. Even though domestic ovens can't go as high a real French bakery ovens, you can still make an excellent baguette, by remembering to put a bowl of water in the oven. And, of course by baking at a very high temperature.
Variations:
Do you like whole wheat baguette recipes? Just use 1 cup White flour and 3 cups Whole Wheat flour!

many manufacturers use inequalities to solve production problems such as determining how much of each product should be assigned to each machine. suppose one bakery oven at a cookie manufacturer is being used to bake chocolate cookies and vanilla cookies. a batch of chocolate cookies bakes in 8 minutes and a batch of vanilla cookies bakes in 10 minutes.
a. let x represent the number of matches of chocolate cookies and y represent the number of vanilla cookies. write a linear equality for the number of batches of each type of cookie that could be baked in the oven in an 8-hour shift
b. graph the inequality.
c. name three combinations of batches of chocolate cookies and vanilla cookies that satisfy the inequality.
d. often manufacturers' problems involve as many as 150 products, 218 facilities, 10 plants, and 127 customer zones. research how problems like this are solved.

moreResolved Question: How can I warm up cookies without burning them?
I was given a batch of cookies (choc chip, white choc, oatmeal raisin). These are fairly large cookies, very good, expensive bakery kind. I froze them to save them. I would like to eat them this weekend, but I am not sure how to thaw them out. If I put them in the fridge the day before, they will not thaw enough. I don't need them to be warm, just room temperature is fine. I have a gas oven, a large cookie sheet, and some parchment paper. What setting/time do I need to thaw these out without burning them? Thanks P.S. My microwave heats unevenly, so I can't use it. Thanks again!
moreResolved Question: How do you do YOUR water bath for cheesecakes?
I recently made a cheesecake using a water bath. I put aluminum foil around the bottom of the pan in 2 or 3 layers, set it in a roasting pan, but it still leaked. Luckily, it didn't completely ruin my cake. It just made the bottom crust a bit too moist. The rest of it came out perfectly, just like you would have bought it from a professional bakery. I was so proud, except for the moist bottom. I read that you can put a pan in the oven on a different rack (a bottom rack, obviously), but wouldn't that interfere with one of the reasons for a water bath in the first place (that in a water bath, it bakes with a slower and more even rise in temperature)? Does anyone have any experience with baking a cheesecake without a water bath, or have any other ideas? I would rather hear personal experiences, and not just posts directly from a website, unless the website says what YOU would have said in the first place.

1. You have recently found a location for your bakery and have begun implementing the first phases of your business plan. Your budget consists of an $80,000 loan from your family and a $38,250 small business loan. These loans must be repaid in full within 10 years.
a) What integer would represent your total budget?
b) Twenty-five percent of your budget will be used to rent business space and pay for utilities. Write an algebraic expression that indicates how much money will be spent on business space and utilities. Do not solve.
c) How much money will rent and utilities cost? Explain how you arrived at this answer.
d) Suppose an investor has increased your budget by $22,250. The investor does not need to be repaid. Rather, he becomes part owner of your business. Will the investor contribute enough money to meet the cost of rent and utilities? Support your answer, and write an equation or inequality that illustrates your answer.
e) This equation illustrates your remaining funds after paying for rent and utilities. How much money is left? Explain how you arrived at your answer.
$38,250 + $80,000+ $22,250-0.25($80,000 + $38,250) =

2. You are trying to decide how to most efficiently use your oven. You do not want the oven running at a high temperature when it is not baking, but you also do not want to waste a lot of time waiting for the oven to reach the desired baking temperature.
The instruction manual on the industrial oven suggests your oven temperature will increase by 45 degrees Fahrenheit per minute. When the over is initially turned on, the temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. What will the temperature of the oven be after 7 minutes? Write an expression and explain how you arrived at your answer.
3. In your industrial oven, you bake two baking sheets with 12 scones each, two baking sheets with 20 cookies each, and one baking sheet with 2 scones and 10 cookies.
a) Write an expression that illustrates the total cost of all baked goods in the scenario above using the variable s to represent the cost of scones and the variable c to represent the cost of cookies. Simplify your expression by combining like terms.
b) Suppose you have decided to price the scones at $2.28 each and the cookies at $1.19 each. How much total revenue would result from selling all the scones and cookies baked in the oven at one time?
c) Yesterday your store earned $797.30 just from the sale of cookies. Write and solve an equation that represents how many cookies were sold.

Christmas and New Year’s night are two special moments that we can’t miss a appetizing dinner. Turkey or chicken are the most common food for both days. When we was in El Salvador, my mother used to wake me up early in the morning to go to the bakery to order the fresh bread that we were going to eat for dinner. I still remember the smell of those little breads just came up from the oven. After this, .myself and my mom started to peel and cut all the produce to boil the turkey. While the turkey was cooking itself, she started to prepare the traditional “pastel de leche” that was to be the desert to end the dinner. This desert was my favorite. When finally the night came, all the family seat together to eat the delicious turkey with the homemade sauce accompanied with rice and salad. This happened in El Salvador; but I feel happy because my mom still prepares that delicious “pastel de leche” here in Unites States.

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.
I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.
Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.
I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. I have used wikipedia & britannica, and can't seem to find what i need. This is one of my homework assignments:
I'm visiting a city that was covered in volcanic ash when a volcano erupted in 79 A.D. You can still see the extinct volcano in the distance. Now excavated, this "unburied" city is a popular tourist site. Walking around the city, you can still see a bakery with bread still in the oven- just as it was when the volcano suddenly erupted. One house even has a "Beware of Dog" mosaic at the door entrance. As I walked the stone streets, I saw that every so often 3 raised stones were positioned. The stones were origionally placed there for 2 reasons. The first reason was to help people cross the street without getting thier feet wet; there were no underground sewers back then. The second reason was to prevent attacks from nieghboring areas; only people in the city knew the dimensions to build thier chariots so they could pass through those streets! Where am I? Thank you!!!!!!!!

There was this game that I used to in computer class in elementary school(somewhere around 1996 or 1997).The game was on a mac computer and the only details I remember from the game was that it was some kind of building or devleopment game.It was a small town with a lot of different characters that you can meet to do different things. You can go to the bakery and bake bread step by step from processing yeast and putting the bread in the oven and taking it out before it catches fire, you could also go to a farm and plant seeds.then water them from a helicopter and when the sunlight comes out, crops grow.I think it was also a toy factory, twhere you can make toys.the last thing I remember was segment of the game which lets you build a highway, step by step from clearing the ground to paving it.
I know this game sounds kinda weird but,im 18 and this was a bout 4th or 5th grade. This is the best I can do.I would really like to play the game and I need your help.It might be some kind of educational related game, since we played it in school.and I think the title had the name city or town in it(like "Work Town","Fun Town" or "Work City" or something like that. There was also this little character(possibly a carton worm)that flies around with a prepeller and give you tips and hints and help you along the way."BUSY TOWN" !!!! I LOVE YOU!!! you got it right on the money.i'll make sure u get the points.that is such a relief.I've been googleing all day.and wrecking my brain trying to figure this out. thank you!!!

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and
crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train
stations on my lunch breaks, making them more
efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate
ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning
operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I
tread water for three days in a row.
I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone
playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with
unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in
twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in
love, and an outlaw in Peru.
Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once
single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon
Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play
bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the
subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I
build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy
urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I
repair electrical appliances free of charge.
I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a
ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my
original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't
perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan
mail. I have been caller number nine and have won the
weekend passes. Last summer, I toured New Jersey with
a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat
.400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame
in international botany circles. Children trust me.
I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with
deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick,
and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to
refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know
the exact location of every food item in the
supermarket. I have performed several covert
operations for the CIA. I sleep once a week; when I do
sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in
Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of
terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of
physics do not apply to me.
I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills
are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I
participate in full-contact origami. Years ago, I
discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it
down. I have made extraordinary four course meals
using only a mouli and a toaster oven. I breed
prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan,
cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling
bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have
performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with

moreResolved Question: How can i remove blistering on my bread rolls.?
I make bread rolls in a bakery on a large scale using the following systems...a mixer, divider, prover, oven and coolers. After baking and cooling the rolls...it is evident that the surface is blistered. Does anyone have any experience on how to remove these blisters on the rolls.
what are the factors that cause these blisters on the bread.
The roll structure is excellent except for the blistering on the surface...i.e. the upper surface seems seperated from the inner portion of the rolls by an air gap.
