Open Question: 21weeks pregnant &fell down the steps.?

1st off it was HILARIOUS!! &painful ouchhhh. I thought I was fine but since then I've been experience cramping & pain n my vagina...no bleeding so no need to worry right? I did not fall on my stomach instead I feel on my bum & backthe baby is moving alot (im laying down right now) so im going to go with someone else's advice & rely on my baby movements. he's moving tons!ok folks I'll call my doctor..its just that my doctor is not in his office & I would be calling an oncall doctor who knows nothing bout my pregnancy &would have me going into the l&d floor &just arghhh but little baby is fine im sure I'll pay attention if cramping worsens, bleeding etc etcit was hilarious bcuz it was.. JUST because im pregnant doesn't mean I dont have a sense of humor. like wow.. I just fell down the damn steps! dats like once in a life time... type of thing!&the way I tumbled was fawking hilarious!@ baby #3 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS??? for your stomach? Ive been having a lot of cramping/gas pains/stomach issues that we think are related to IBS and my mom's boyfriend suggested i try these peppermint gel capsules that are supposed to help your stomach. Open Question: Ladies any of these before you got your BFP?

I had spotting from 28th April-8th May, then a full flow started so this month i counted the first day of my period as 8th May. That means i was due to ovulate around 21st May. I have not yet received one positive OPK test since i began testing on monday. This has lead me to believe that i may have ovulated earlier than i thought and that the day the spotting started on 28th April was day one of my cycle. Il just list the so called signs iv been having. Bleeding gums Runny nose with no other cold symptoms Bloated stomach Headaches everyday since monday Felt nauseous on Sunday for about an 1hr Had diarrhoea on Tuesday then was constipated wed-now (tmi) Sore lower back pains Niggle pains every now and again in bbs EWCM on Tuesday but dry since thursday Feel like need to pee, like a full bladder but nothing comes out The only way i can describe the discomfort in my lower stomach is as if i was doing 100 sit-ups, feel stiff Very gassy May be irrelevant but also today in work, i sit the way i normally sit with legs crossed, but my leg kept going dead and cramping, which never happens. Regular twinges in stomach, not sore just annoying I took a hpt this morning but BFN, although i did appear to have a faint line in the OPK i also test. Open Question: Are these early pregnancy symptoms?

Resolved Question: COULD I HAVE IBS?? this is a longish story but please help if you can!?

ive had trouble with my bowls for the past few months now, i think it will be easier if i set it out like this SEVERE CONSTIPATION!!! - i dont go regularly, maybe once a week if that - im bloated all the time, even the smallest of foods would make me bloated, and normal meals would make me balloon out! - my stomach feels acid and bubbley - i get sharp pains and cramps in my bowl every now and then - when i do go to the toilet and go to open my bowls i get shooting sharp crippling pains up though my anus that really really hurt! - i would be sat on the toilet for like what seems forever! - i find it actually impossible to pass stool so impossible i have had to have a rubber glove handy and got the stool out myself (gross ino but i couldnt stand the pain!) - when it does come out, its not easy!, its usually a big solid boulder and is as sharp as razor blades and really hot! - usually leaves my anus bleeding, i have seen blood in my stool but i thought that would just be coming from my anus? - and i always leave the toilet still feeling full, like there is more stool there - (used to get really bad piles where i couldnt sit down, but i dont get them as bad, hardly feel them) - i apseloutly DREAD going to the toilet, its become a fear. the pain is horrid and im only 17 - i have been getting sudden feelings of sickness and headaches, headaches that feel like throbing in my head and cloud my thoughts and make it hard for me to see because i have to squint my eyes to focus - and i have been feeling depressed lately i was going to go to the doctors about the depression but always put it off i had been to the doctors and she gave me some fibre drinks which yes, they made my stool abit more managable, made it slightly softer than usuall, but my stool was still as sharp as razor blades! and i still didnt go regulary so i then added museli and bran flakes into my diet (which is already FULL of fruit and water which is why my mum was surprised i always was constipated) my stool was still the same, i quit the energy drinks and carried on with the museli i thought this softish sharp stool is as good as it would get for me now. i would run out of meusli half way through the week but i had started having more softer stools and then i had no sharp pains and the stool was like rabbit droppings or a few hard rabbit droppings then like diarhea but not severe, i felt better though, i wasnt having the cramps as much and i thought finally! this went on for about a month, less than that but i dont get it, the past few days ive had big bowls of museli and i thought yeah i'll go any day now. and tonight i got the cramps ans acidy feeling, i went to the toilet, got a slight shooting pain and there i was back to square one! i had forgotton about how painfull it used it be. i was sat on the toilet for at least half an hour or more and i even try different possitions on the toilet to see if it will move the stool around abit. i had a few rabbit droppings then it was nothing, constipated again. i had to use the glove tonight because it was so bad, it felt like the stool was slimey too like a phlegme feeling. yes my anus bled again, and is burning too, i dont get it thought because i had a huge bowl meusli and fruit and nuts today i have looked at the symtoms of IBS and i havnt got all the symptoms these are just the ones that i have. is it worth going back to the doctors? but i am abit wary because i have been suffereing from depression and i have asked a few questions about it before on here but i dont want to go doctors about these 2 major things she might think im a hypocondriact but when im really just causious about my health, nothing this serious has ever happened to me what should i do? more

Open Question: Is there something severely wrong or is my body just freaking out?

I am a twenty year old female. I have a steady boyfriend and we have unprotected sex. My menstrual periods are always regular and on time. This month however, my "period" was 8 days early and there was only one day of normal/heavy bleeding. The day before and the day after consisted of light spotting and occasional heavy moments when I would stand up or use the restroom, other than that it was only spotting and only when I was using the restroom. It's been almost 2 weeks since the bleeding and I am still bleeding but only during sexual intercourse, not before and not after. My stomach has been hurting extremely bad, this started about a week before I started bleeding. It felt like cramps at first and then became worse, the pain is in the lower part of my stomach and when I engage in sexual intercourse it feels like someone is stabbing the lower left part of my stomach. I went to see a doctor and she said I was fine and that my body was just freaking out. I don't believe my body is just freaking out, I believe there is something wrong with me, but I don't have the money or the time to keep going to a doctor if they won't help me. So if you have any suggestions of what could be wrong with me, I'd really appreciate the information. more

Open Question: Strange mysterious illness, have you ever heard/seen anything like this before?

Hi, thanks for reading. I'm 18 years old, and in my second year of university. I'm originally from New York, but I moved to the UK to complete my degree. I've always been rather sick, my entire life, I've felt like I'm just not fully well. In general, I don't let this hinder me, but I have been found to have a few conditions. Mainly, I've been diagnosed with: - A heart murmur - Asthma - An 'incurable' gastro-intestinal reflux None of these things seem to have a serious effect on my life, but lately, I've been experiencing really strange signs of illness, and yet my doctor says that I have no outward symptoms of anything. I'm currently undergoing blood work, but can anyone tell me if you've heard of anything like this? In the past week, I've felt: - very lethargic; constant exhaustion - shortness of breath - loss of appetite to the point where I won't eat more than a small sandwich or two per day, although I'll constantly drink water/ vitamin water - random bouts of extreme hunger followed by intestinal cramps, especially if I eat when experiencing hunger - constant nausea and stomach pains, especially after I eat - constant headaches - lymph nodes that tend to swell whenever I don't sleep enough (though sleeping 'enough' can be sleeping 16+ hours when I feel like this) - feverish, and issues with temperature regulation, but no notably high fevers - my ears and throat hurt (but nothing seems to be wrong, according to the doctor) - constant dizziness and feelings of faintness - acid reflux that can't be helped with any medicine I've tried Because I am currently in exam period (my exams start in about a week), I thought it might be due to something stress related, but I don't really know what to do about it. I can't seem to eat, and whatever I eat makes me feel even worse. Also, my gastro-intestinal reflux has worsened since I arrived in the UK. I thought it may have been due to change of food-type, but since my arrival, I seem to have become progressively more and more ill. Also, something really peculiar happened to me a day or two ago- I believe it's called myoclonus (spastic twitching and jerking of some of your fingers). I couldn't control it, and it wouldn't stop. It was keeping me awake until around 6 in the morning- at which point it lessened to the point where I finally fell asleep, and it hasn't occurred again since. I'm not sure if it's related at all, but I figured I would mention it since the only time it's ever occurred is when I've experienced these odd symptoms. I did have a really severe stomach virus about five months ago that made my gastro-intestinal reflux worse than ever, and I feel like that may be linked to these symptoms since the biggest problem I have is in regards to pain when I consume food. Open Question: Intestinal Cramping? Not Sure IBS?

Over the past couple of years I have noticed that I tend to get painful intestinal cramping and discomfort more, sometimes with diarrhea. I got scoped in my stomach and my GI tract and the doctors said there was only a little spot of irritation of my stomach from reflux and I tested negative for all the diseases that would cause this pain. The reason I dont think it is IBS is because the pains come in bouts of a couple of weeks or months, and this problem did not occur until a few years ago. I think it might have something to do with a buildup of acid from reflux getting into the intestine causing pain because I always seem to burp ALOT after I eat and sometimes have to swallow the burp back down, however there is no burning. My situation is starting to control what I do and I dont want this to go on forever. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? more

I called my doc. office and am currently waiting for a call back... I just want opinions, This is baby #2. I took my daughter to Carb day for the 500 festival. We walked ALOT. We had to come home early because I was having pains. We get here and I got into it with my hubby and got really upset. Now, I am having dull cramps and my stomach is pretty hard. Open Question: TMI - 38 weeks pregnant, woken up with Diahreea cramps, but nothing...?

I woke up this morning with nasty cramps, almost food poisoning like cramps, i thought maybe i was going to run to the bathroom and have that explosive diahreea, but nothing! It continued to get worse for about another half hour, with about 2-3 minutes intervals, but only lasting about 30-45 seconds. My stomach would harded at the same time. I'm guessing they were contractions, but it wasnt agonizing pain, so i waited it out for another half hour and they slowly went away. I'm nowt experiencing very light-moderate BH contractions once every half hour. What do you think was going on this morning?! more

Okay so lastnight after i was done eating i layed down and got this horrible stabbing sharp pain in my left side, so right away i freaked out and layed up, i started to get naseau and i began to shake like really bad, i had diahreah cramps but no diahreah, i'am getting my period in like less then a week and i'am never around people, i stay at home, because i'am agoriphobia and like i worrry about everything! oh and now i think that i have appendicitis because i just looked it up, i think that i have an ulcer because my stomach tends to burn alot and my throat gets cold and my back always hurts and i get dizzy, headaches, and my ears ring, so i look it up. and found out a whole bunch of things it could be, i haven't been to the doctors so i'am really scarred! but i made an appointment for a few days here, i just wanna know if stress, and the isolation i'am doing to myself can cause this, i don't eat meat and i'am never active around ppl i don't go to school i mean like i don't do ANYTHING except cry and worry and stress and i freak about everything i eat. Open Question: Nearly 31 weeks pregnant & have stomach pain when I eat?

Sorry for TMI in advance... The day before yesterday, me and my son had a quiche for lunch, forgetting that I had an egg intolerance. By around 6pm I started getting mild stomach pains and kept burping (which tasted of egg, and made me feel nauseous). The pain got worse before I went to bed, and I had to go to the loo with diarrheoa (sp?), after that the cramps sort of lessened and I thought that was it and went to sleep. I woke up at 2am and was basically in and out of the bathroom with extremely painful stomach cramps until about 6.30am, when I finally fell back to sleep. I woke up just past 9 and I felt ok. I thought that was it, but every time since then I have eaten, my belly has felt really swollen and a bit sore, not really crampish, more like, a bit bruised maybe? And the baby feels fine, and is moving lots - but that actually makes it worse when it's wriggling on my belly! Do you think this is just because my stomach reacted so horribly after I ate that stupid quiche, and it will get over it, or is it more serious? I seem to have had a lot more problems in this pregnancy than the first one, starting to feel like a hyperchondriac! more

Open Question: No period for 2 months, cramping. NOT pregnant.?

I haven't had a period for 2 months, but my stomach and back occasionally feel like they're cramping. I get sharp pains in my right pelvic area, right flank, and right back area. These usually occur in the evening. I have taken 5 pregnancy tests since January, because my period was strangely light. But all have been negative. I also have not had sex since january, so I'm almost positive I am not pregnant! I went to the ER recently because I was suspected to have kidney stones/gallstones. They gave me a Renal CT scan and ruled out the kidney stones -- My kidneys are completely healthy. I have an appointment for an ultrasound to check for gallstones in August. With a lack of a period, I'm starting to think something else is up. Any ideas? I do plan to go to the doctor, regardless. I'm just hoping to get some ideas of what might be going on. Here's a little info on me: I'm 20. I'm 5'5", 127 pounds. I'm an active person(exercise 3-4 times a week), eat healthy (about 1500 - 1700 calories a day), I'm a vegetarian and take iron supplements to make up for the lack of meat, and drink lots of water! I have been having really bad bloating, nausea, and stomach pain for 3 weeks. The pain is located on my left side. I had my period, which was 3 days late, but not a big deal. I am also not about to start again for another 26 days so im sure it is not pms. I really do not think i could be pregnant because i had my period. The pain feels like period cramps but in my stomach. I have been getting so bloated that my clothes do not fit at the time. Now this does come and go. I will bloat and it will last for a few days subside then return. This also comes along with nausea and usually starts after i eat something but sometimes it just happens. My bowel movements have been regular and my diet has not changed. It hurts to the point where I have to take pain medication to be able to walk around. Sometimes its real bad and sometimes its mild. What could be wrong with me? I do not have insurance so a casual trip to the doctor is not in the budget. Is it just gas? This is just strange.I can go to the doctor im just not wanting to pay 120 dollars for them to tell me to take some gas medication. more

Open Question: Is it still possible i'm pregnant? Were the tests wrong because i took them too early?

Ok so heres the deal..The first day of my last period was March 17,2009. It lasted for a little less than a week. My periods are pretty regular which is why when I missed my next period in april i took a test. I really am hoping that i'm pregnant. I haven't been any MOre stressed than usual but i'm in the middle of missing my second period. It was due on the 17 and today is the 21. My symptoms have been, headaches (i never usually get them), lower back pain, stomach pain w/ some cramping. I have more vaginal discharge than usual also. I have taken a couple of home pregnancy tests all negative. I also have gone to the doctors on the 4 of may and the 18 of may, both negative tests results also. Is it still too early to tell? My friends never found out that they were pregnant until they were already two months or more..could i be the same way? Is it possible i'm really pregnant? Please help me. I have been hoping, but i don't wanna get my hope too high and get a ton of dissapointment if not. Should i go back in like two weeks and take another to be sure? Hello, Im 18, and my 16 year old girlfriend might be pregnant. We've have had unprotected sex for a while now, but never to the point where I would come close to ejaculating. But then, she missed here period this month, and is about 2 days late. Also last weekend, when we were together, she was feeling cramps that she never felt before, from her stomach/ovaries area. That same day, when I was simply laying on her, kissing her, one of her friends had jumped on top of me, crushing her. She immediately felt a sharp pain from her overies. She has been needed to go to the bathroom alot, and has been eating alot. We are now very worried that she might be pregnant. I do know even though I never ejaculated near her, i probably pre-cumed multiple times. And It wasnt until we are worried about this issue that I realized that Pre-cum can contain sperm. But it also says that Pre-cum only contains sperm when theres some in the urethra from a recent ejaculation. Well, to be honest, i never have ejaculated any time near here. Not the day before or anything. My question is, just by these signs, can she be pregnant? I know we should take a home pregnancy test to find out for sure, so i bought one, but I cant see her until tomorrow. I am very worried, because I just turned 18, and my loved girlfriend is 16. If she is pregnant, there is no doubt I would give my best in supporting her, and as a father. But im worried about her parents and any laws that can get involved. Im afraid. I know this was a selfish act upon myself, and I do take the blame for not using protection. Open Question: Discomfort in abdomen, diarrhea, cramps, small rash... etc. Please help!?

Lately I've been having this discomfort in my lower left abdomen, just below and to the left of my belly button. It is not really painful or anything, but it just feels like there's something pressing against it. I can't sleep because it gets worse at night, and I have to reposition all the time. Also, I get diarrhea a lot and have cramps occasionally. I'm a female, I'm not on my period, it isn't the same as those problems. I also have a bit of an itchy rash on my bottom. I've looked around on the internet, and I'm afraid I might be allergic to gluten, but I'm not sure. I know I should probably go to the doctor, that's the best answer, but I was just curious about your opinion. I've also had headaches and sinus problems, but that may be unrelated. Mainly it's just the discomfort and irregular bowel movements. My husband and I eat the same things (he eats more), but he doesn't have nearly as many bowel movements and stomach problems as I do. I've always had trouble with that, but I thought it was normal. I'd get up in the night with terrible cramps and diarrhea. I don't think it's normal. Maybe one or two times a year, but frequently? I don't think so. I remember waking up one night in college and almost passing out because the pain was so bad. I didn't have a roommate, and I was scared, writhing on the floor in pain. Yet, I didn't do anything about it. The next day, I think "Oh, it wasn't that bad. I must have just eaten something bad." Could it be gluten, could it be something else? Is it a "woman" problem? Open Question: Discharge? Pregnancy? Im so confused?

ive been having unprotected sex for about the last 3 months and one of the times was when i was ovulating! last month i started to get brown discharge on the day i was due to get my period and that lasted 4 days and now for about the last 3 weeks ive been getting really tender nipples on and off. Really light cramp feeling like period pain but no where near as bad, alot of discharge and occasional sharp pains up the side of my stomach and then this month i was 7 days late for my period when i started to get a brownish discharge mixed with clear stuff which has been really really light, only there when i wipe and its only every now and again not everytym and ive had a tiny tiny bit of blood once. Could this be pregnancy or a sign of something else?? Open Question: On the mornings I get my period (sorry lads) I go through the most horrific experience.. what's going on?

I've had many times now where if I get my period first thing in the morning, I wake up feeling... weird, an Awful kind of weird. I feel constantly faint - the minute I stand up I have to lay on the floor to stop passing out, the blood just won't reach my head. Feel like my body is cramping to go to the number2 (..Lol) but then i'm just ridiculously constipated. Feel sick. Hyperventilate. All whilst having IMMENSE cramps. I've tried taking pain killers, but at first thing in the morning with no food in the stomach it just makes things worse. I know I should try and raise my blood sugar levels, but my throat won't let anything down and when I have i've just vomited. The only way i've found to get rid of it is to go back to sleep, when I can, and then I wake up feeling fine. But that time before I can... it's hell! Honestly, it's scary and agonising in the weirdest way. I believe some of it could be shock.. I've had some horrendous circumstances because of my periods in the past so my body generally starts to freak out no matter how much I try to talk myself out of it. The thing that scared me most last time was that I felt this horrible dizzy fuzziness of blood not reaching my head for about 10 minutes when I was Laying Down! What?? Anywho's, just thought i'd put it out there see if any one has any ideas or advice or goes thought the same thing.. Probably not! lol. more

Open Question: I had my period 2 weeks ago and I am bleeding VERY heavily now! What is going on?

I got my period 2 weeks ago and about 2 days ago I started bleeded VERY heavily. I mean, I bled through 8 Super tampons and 4 pads in a matter of 12 hours. I never bleed that bad. Now, the bleeding has almost completely stopped, but I am having stomach pains that are actually pretty painful. It's not like normal cramping. It's like my entire stomach hurts from my belly button down to my groin. What is going on? Has anyone else ever had this?I don't want to get to personal, but I haven't been sexually active in about a year because my husband and i are separated. So, I am not on birth control either. Should I have any reason to worry? more

Monday afternoon it all stated with stomach cramping, much like gas pains, dull, sharp at moments and right in the center of my upper abdomen. I had one small bout of diarrhea that night and moments of nausea and dizziness. On Tuesday the pain is still there, not as nauseous, decreased appetite. And now it's Wednesday. I woke up with the pain still there, and while I was in the shower I had several moments of near-fainting and dizziness. The pain persists. It's not terrible pain, just kind of like gas pain that wont go away. And no nausea today. Any ideas on what this could be? I am a 26 yo Caucasian female with no children and a medical history of hypothyroidism. I am also nurse, which might be why I'm freaking out. And I do have a doctors appointment on Friday morning. more

I usually get bad cramps during my time and month and I had gotten one in the middle of my shower. So when I got out, I took my pain medicine (naproxen sodium) (I also took a Claritin for allergies because I was supposed to be going out) Then when I was standing at the sink combing my hair, my stomach hurt in a different way...It started at the top and seemed to move to the bottom. I figured it was just a blood clot or a sudden heavier flow, but then my vision started near blacking out, just getting fuzzy and spotting kind of. I thought I was gonna pass out, so I sat down. When I sat down, my stomach felt better after a few seconds. But then when I stood up again, it started. I called my mom and she told me to take out my tampon, which I did. I also measured my temperature and I don't have a fever. She's going to take me to the doctor to see if it's TSS, but I doubt it. What else could it be? Medicine reaction? Just a really bad cramp? i have had the mirena in for almost 7 months now. i got it put in when my baby was 6 weeks. i bleed heavy for the first month and stopped and last week i spotted then bleed spotted and stopped. i have been feelin drowsy more, nausious, i have headaches, pelvic cramps, sharp pains shootin through my stomach, diarrhea, gained weight, feeling very dizzy, my belly seems to be pokin out a little more than usual but not too much kinda like wat it looked like when i was 7 weeks pregnant with my little girl and its tight and im havin discharge and swelling...i know i should know all the symptoms for bein pregnant since ive had one but i dunno if this is the mirena or being pregnant and im worried cuz i dunno if im ready for another baby im only 19 but if i am i guess god knows im ready. im married so having another baby wouldnt be too bad but the economy is rough we just bought a house my little girl is only 7 months and i thought getting the mirena would prevent it. i know abstinece is the only 100% way. its scary cuz ive read that a bunch of women have gotten and is pregnant with a baby when they had it and some of them said it was inserted correctly. im having all the symptoms i had when i was pregnant and i see nothing on the side effects bout some of them....im thinkin bout takin a home test but when i was pregnant with my little girl every one i took came out negative and im scared its gonna happen again and i do something that could hurt the baby or make me have a miscarriage.....any suggestions? anyone else get pregnant with the mirena?? more
