Resolved Question: stomach pain!! for 6weeks now and have been back and forward from the docs!!!!?

i have really bad heart burn with it, and my stomach swells up with the pain, i mean really swells i have a pair of jeans that are fairly lose around my waist and i couldn't even pull them near each other!! i had a ultrasound scan today but they couldn't see what is wrong. she said it will take 10 days for the results to get back to my GP, shall i go back before then. I've been like this for 6 weeks, i also had upset stomach and diarrhea and now I've got constipation please help more

shes been complaining shes feeling uncomfortable and unwell symptoms include pain when urinating (sometimes) (burning, stabbing) nauseous pain in the lower abdomen she was shaking at work today (this has only happened once) stomach swollen she went to the doctors and they said, it was cystitis. the doctor proceeded and gave her 'trimethoprim'. when i run im fine until i up intensity then i get a burning crushing pain in the top of my abdomen. iv had this pain before but never this intense, i get a lot of gas when iv stopped running and sometimes feel a little nausea. iv switched to running on a morning which will be better for me to structure my day hoping that it would be better, but its still the same... on a morning i run on empty stomach( i used to be a milkman so used to this lol) and on eve i wait at least 3 hours before i run. i know the feeling of a stitch and i know it isnt that, just worrying (sorry if ive rambled on im just trying to cover everything) more

iv been getting really bad stomach cramps while running lately, and burns for up to 3 hours later i hope its not ibs.. my doc prescribed me some colofac a couple of year ago thats when i last had the pains and they worked after a week of taking them. the trouble is i start my basic in the army in 3 weeks and i don't want anything to show up on my blood tests that will affect my eligibility, im just wondering if it does show up on blood tests, i am very fit and healthy but i know they deffer you for up to 2 years with ibs and i am already 30 now more

The world around me seemed to stand still. Almost like some unimaginable force had slowed everything down. I watched in amazement as images of people flashed before my eyes. Water began to form in my eyes, and yet I still couldn’t close them. I stared hopelessly, I tried to pull away but there was something compelling me to watch, something in the back of my mind keeping my eyes open, just in case. Just in case I missed something. Face after face, they just all seemed to blur into one big mess. I couldn’t distinguish one from the other anymore. I knew that I had known these people my whole life, and they were almost like family to me, but I couldn’t recognise any of them. They all seemed so different, so strange. I wanted to know who they were, but I just couldn’t remember. It was like there was a wall blocking me. I slammed my hand down on the metal table beneath my arm. Cold shivers ran up my arm like electricity running through a socket. The cold metal almost burnt my arm, and yet I held it there, unable to move it. I strained my eye to close them, but it was like some invisible person was prying them open. I tried again and again to scream, to shout, to whisper something, anything that would make this stop, but every time I opened my mouth nothing came out. There was just this buzz in the back ground; it seemed to drown everything else out. The pictures flashed again and again, gradually getting faster and more intense, until they were imbedded in my eyes. Suddenly they stopped. They just seemed to freeze. I could hear my heart pounding in my chest, trying to break out of my ribs. I slowly unclenched my hands. My head dropped and my eyes closed. I was plunged into darkness. I was awoken by a small precise dripping noise. It seemed to occur every 2 seconds like clockwork. I began to open my eyes; they seemed almost to stick shut. I could feel them pulling apart, like peeling a plaster of someone’s skin. The light flooded into my eyes and I was stunned. I could just make out shadows and blurs of shapes moving around the room. I raised my hand almost like an automatic reaction to protect my eyes from the light. I managed to raise my hand half way before it was stopped. I pulled harder and harder trying to free my hand from whatever was holding it back. Slowly my eyes adjusted to the light and my surrounding became clearer. I was in a small lightly lit room. The sound of dripping was coming from a small sink over in the far corner. The tap was rusted, and the water was almost the colour of grass. I turned to whatever it was holding my arm down. A tight piece of rope had been tied tightly around both my arms and my legs. I looked around desperately for some kind of explanation as to why I was here, and tied up like this. All I saw were masked people hurrying around the place. They were cloaked in dark robes with black material hung like a drape over their faces. There were no points, to suggest a nose. They were almost completely flat. I stared in amazement watching as they all rushed from one side of the room to another, carrying various jars of liquids and other brightly coloured and detail labelled jars. They seemed to float rather than walk. Their cloaks were the colour of dried blood. They seemed so silent as they walked, almost like listening to the wind. Every now and then you would hear the rush of wind, or feel the brush of your hair touch your neck as the air passed it. The room was silent, apart from the dripping. I tried again and again to free myself, but every attempt ended the same. The ropes just seemed to get tighter and tighter. I opened my mouth again. Nothing came out. My throat was dry and it hurt to breath, not to mention the incredible pain in my chest every time I moved. It was like I had a car on top of me, crushing my stomach. I tried to ignore it, but as I struggled the pain increased so much that eventually I had to stop. My head felt like it was being pounded with a hammer from the inside, my hands ached where the ropes were so tight it had cut of my blood circulation, and I was gradually starting to lose feeling in my toes. I called out again and again. But there was just an empty silence. A loud crash like thunder came from outside the room. It seemed to echo like a wave of sound passing through the walls. I watched as I almost saw waves of air rush up into the wall and pass right through it as though it wasn’t there! Every single person, or whatever they were, human or not, turned to face the door. Their bodies completely motionless like statures, just waiting. But what were they waiting for? I strained again and again more frantically and more dangerously than before. My whole body felt as though it was going to collapse in on itself and suffocate me. The doors suddenly started to heave, almost like they were breathing, in and out. A loud crashing noise, like metal crunching echoed throughout the room. Waves of sound seemesos missed some! seemed to travel through the creatures like they weren’t even there, and out through the walls again. I paused momentarily to watch as I saw the sound waves pass through the walls. All around me things seemed to be happening and everyone but me knew what was going on. The thumping on the door came as often as my heart beat, thundering away in the silence of the room. The tall white walls seemed to shudder like paper in the wind, and yet they still remained tall and upright. Small flakes of paint had somehow been disrupted and had revealed a very pale purple colour underneath. more

Resolved Question: Painful stomach when moving?

Hi there, I woke up this morning quite fine although a little bloated and my lower back was really quite painful. I then had some raw uncooked oats for breakfast with water (that's normal for me so my body is used to it). Last night I had a lot of these small half chocolate donuts from tesco and they contain a lot of fatty acids. I recall that in the night I woke up with burps that had burning liquid in them (most probably acid). I move around and it really hurts. I cannot really feel the pain when straight, but when slouched or bent or sat my stomach keeps twitching and hurts. I cannot move without it being painful but it is less painful since this morning. I have passed wind more down below than I have higher above. I can't seem to burp for some reason but my stomach is bloated and when I lay on my stomach it hurt it until it got used to it (I felt the urge to burp too when I lay on my stomach but could not). Is there something wrong or is there just too much gas in the stomach. What should I do? (without seeing a Doctor). Any help would be grand thanks.. PS A week before, for a week I went on a Raw food diet and these were the first non raw food except for cooked food, cookies and crisps. Don't get me wrong either, I had a lot. I'll just give you details here,, Male 30, constant burning lower abdominal feeling, not a pain but more like burning. Frequent bowel movements, at least one of the movements per day shows blood, not dark blood but more red red blood, sometimes mixed with the stool, sometimes like its layered on top of the last bit of stool to come out. (sorry for graphic detail) Tired easily also. Was put on zoton for excess acid in stomach in case that was the problem but have not helped one bit. Family history....Mother died from cervical cancer, and dad's brother had bowel cancer. more

Resolved Question: Vulva, back & thigh pain...misdiagnosed many times, last resort..please read properly?

Trying to be as brief as possible, it's a long story. 19 and a virgin Six weeks ago got very deep burning, itching, swelling and stretching feeling on vulva - external only, mostly mons pubis and labia majora. Although I do have one part at the top of my clitoral hood that sometimes when pressed feels bruised. Saw doctor, didn’t examine me and said it would only be thrush. Prescribed pessary, but too swollen to take. Took oral pill instead, took another a week later and ate anti-candia diet...mild relief. Was bed bound for two weeks with an ice pack, which seemed to help. Got period a week after first pain. Pain seemed to reduce, but still linger. The day after it was supposed to end, when I woke up I maneuvered in bed and got a sharp, knife like feeling on my vulva. A few hours later, dark red blood trickled out. My mum suggested it was because I’d been lying down a lot and it hadn’t all come out. Went to A&E that day, urine detected infection; doctor suggested UTI. Examined vulva and took a swab for culture, which was satisfactory. I assume from her silence that my vulva looked normal. Was prescribed Augmentin for 7 days, felt mild relief only as it was finishing. Went to outpatient clinic, another urine test said I had no infection and that there was nothing they could do for me. Around this time I developed a dull, nagging pain in my lower left abdomen. A month later, it’s still here. It’s not very painful, but it’s noticeable and annoying. Also around this time started getting a sharp, recurrent pain my my lower back, near my left kidney. It stabs me every few seconds and last for roughly 30 seconds...comes back every now and then. One time it was intermittent with an identical pain in my left thigh. Lower back feels swollen, bruised. Saw osteopath who said my back is stiff in 3 places and will treat it, but thinks vulva pain is unrelated - says back pain may have been caused by infection and was surprised I haven’t had a gynecological ultrasound, and suggested going to GP for full blood work. Vulva pain is now mostly bruised feeling when sitting for too long. I feel discomfort (sort of like something pushing its way out from within) for approx 30 seconds and if I stand and gently move around, it seems to subside. I’ve had problems with period cramps before and have twice this past year had extremely bad cramps to the point of dizzyness and vomiting. I got the shakes and had to lie in bed in a dark room on my side and breathe into my cupped hands. After about two hours I got a kick in my stomach from within, like a big thud and it just stopped and I felt 100% fine. I saw a doctor about this who didn’t seem to care, and put me on the pill at my request. I started it in January but I only took one pack because I was worried about side effects. Could it be something to do with this? more

Lacida once told me that I was a fighter, and no matter what I was told I was always to trust my heart. I never really understood what she meant before, but standing here, drenched in the blood of the one person who took me in and cared for me, shaking with anger and grief I finally understood what she meant all those years ago. My hands shook as I reached out to touch hers. They were so cold, like stone, smoothed to a perfect finish by the constant wavering of the ocean. Tears streaked from my face like a waterfall. They were tears of sadness and regret, but mostly they were tears of anger and the burning rage inside of me to revenge her death. Her once young beautiful eyes now resembled the old woman she was. They were so tired looking, but there was something different about them now. She looked almost peaceful. “Bring her back to me.” I whispered as I sat there, clenching her hand close to my heart, praying that something, someone would bring her back to me. The ones that are so delicate if you try to pull them out they break and lodge into your skin forever. Nothing made sense anymore. Everything that I once believed in was now proven to be a lie. I felt sick to my stomach every time I thought of her, lying there on the floor like that. Cold, alone, frightened, and thinking that I hated her. I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I jumped and was knocked back into reality. My eye took a few moments to adjust to the light. Shapes began to appear out of the light getting clearer and defined, until I could make out faces and features that I recognized. I sat up straight and looked around. There was something wrong, something was missing. I could sense it in the air, I could taste it on my tongue and I could feel it pulsating through my veins. A tall dark figure began to draw closer; I stared as they floated so silently and gracefully along the floor. I was mesmerized by the way that this person, whatever it may be walked, it was unreal, like watching a movie. The person came to an abrupt stop and I jolted my head back. My eyes met with something strange. It was not a face, but a long black shimmering veil draped over its head. I watched as it stood there. It had no obvious eyes, but I could feel it watching me, I could feel its glare studying me like Lacida did when she suspected something bad of me. I felt my throat begin to tie itself into a knot. Lucida, was she really gone? Was it just a dream? What really happened? My mind seemed to flicker between the here, the now and the past. I couldn’t seem to concentrate on either. It was like switching a light on and off. You can’t have it both ways. I tried to block the images of her lying there on the drowned floor, her eyes wide staring up at me. So instead I turned my mind onto the here and now. The person stood perfectly still, if I had not seen it move I would have mistaken it for a figure carved out of oak pale stone. There was no one else around, well no one else that I could see. I knew well not to only trust my eyes, they only saw what was on the outside, there was so much more on the inside. I stared deep into the figure; I studied its shape and its essence. It seemed only to stand there watching me. Resolved Question: whats wrong with my hubby?

hi all my hubby who's 30 has been having a hot burning feeling on most of his body for around 2 weeks. The burning hot sensation started on his abdomen about 5 weeks ago, but has now spread to most of his body. It feels like hes very sun-burnt he says. He went to his gp when it was first present on his ab-do, and his gp told him to take pepcid at first then zoton for excess acid in his stomach. These didn't help one bit. He also done bloods and the results came back saying his liver count was raised slightly and so was his thyroid gland. But that it was nothing to worry about at present. AS i have said now the burning feeling is on his whole body, and he says its worse in his ab-do. May i add that it does not stop him from doing his daily activities, and he's not in much pain, just the odd pain in his ab-do. Any ideas as to whats going on, he's going back to his gp next week but in the meantime i'd love some clue from you guys on all of this? thanks more

i don't no what to do i have been to the GP god knows how may times and i am still no better they put me on tablets for IBS as i was getting stomach pains and feeling nauseous all the time , but now the tablets they have put me on have made me worse i have stop taking them but now i have severe back pack pain followed by sharp stabbing stomach which most of the time is a burning sicky feeling. because of this i have to rush to the toilet and either vomit or empty my bowels or both and then i get really cold and start shivering. sorry if this is too much information but when i empty my bowels it is almost like water and it relives the pains but not for long and i am sat there for a good hour shivering with cold and then i sit there as i feel that if i past wind i wont be able to control what comes out. is this normal for IBS or could it be something else i really need some ideas as i have no clues to what is going on i am 23 yr old girl and it is limiting my life now!! please help me someone.thanks everyone for clearing that up for me just quickly i have already had an ultra sound but they couldnt find anything so if i did have a hernia would they be able to find that?? more

Resolved Question: quad bike accident.... Still in pain?

On sunday i came off a quad bike and it bounced off me. I have lots of bruises and long burn to my arm. I have been to see my gp who examined me for all of 20 seconds, she felt my bruise area on my stomach and ran her hand over my leg. I am in quite a lot of pain in my stomach area, it feels very hard above my belly button and its like a rotting stitch pain... I have been prescribed painkillers and cream for my arm. Do i need to be checked over again more

Ok so i have been diagnosed with PCOS and iv had it since iv been 15 (now 21) and i was told that i would have trouble conceving but im getting early pregnancy symptoms and i know its not related to my PCOS as iv never felt anythinlikeek this before. I keep feeling: Sickness all day, Bad lower back aches (and sometimes a pins and needle effect), Stomach cramps (but not like period pains), Heart burn (and acid at the back of my throat), Headaches, Tiredness all day, My boobs where tender, My nipples feel like thieleakingng but there not when i check, Vaginal discharge, Constipation sometimes, Trouble sleeping due to warmness, Always needing a wee, Unexplained mood swing, I've been feeling all this for about a month now, and before i was feeling this i went on a diet and lost 10lbs and then i read that this can help people with PCOS get pregnant which i didnt know until now. Ive also done a home test but it came out negative. ARE they signs of early pregnancy? Help please!!!Also my fiancee has noticed my stomach is now going hard, and i have really bad trouble sleeping now as i keep getting really hot. Hi i'm hoping you can help me! My fiance who is 30 is having lower abdominal discomfort. ITs been going on about 5 weeks. He says its like a burning feeling all across his lower stomach. Having a bowel movement seems to make it worse. for the last week he's started to have a pain which is localised on his lower left side of his back too. Dont know if its realated. I have been having a bit of trouble with my bowel and diet lately. My diet is quite limited.. but my mum has ensured that I get enough fibre and ion in my diet although my stools are still quite small, and not like they should be. I am 15 years old. I haven't been straining whilst going to the loo so I don't think I have an anal fissure or piles. Yesterday when I went to the the loo.. I had a sharp achey pain in my lower stomach and sharp achey pain in my bum... and when i pushed it got worse! I panicked, because it has never happened before and it is very painful. I don't want to go to the doctors because it is really embarrassing! Does anybody know what the problem could be? I am very worried. more

Hi there guys, I hope ye can help! My fiance, who is 30 has been having a burning pain which started under his left arm down his side (to the waist) and sometimes across his lower abdomen. He said it doesn't hurt but it feels like sunburn. IT comes and goes but it is present most days. Also, the other day he told me after we had intercourse he had a pain in his lower abdomen (not burning but pain). Then the burning sensation on his side and abdomen got worse. Several times during each day i notice him rubbing his side (mostly the left one) and rubbing his stomach too. He is going to visit the gp wednesday but any ideas on what could be going on would be greatly appreciated. What do you think is up with me ? I have been feelin very nausiated at times, my belly has been swelling, my boobs have swollen and got a bit heavier, going to the toilet more often, put on a stone and a half in a week but thats stopped now as that was a couple of weeks ago. I have tested it for pregnancy and even got the doctor to test for that, it keeps saying negative and i am still taking my period which could still happen. I have been getting a lot of different pains in my stomach lately like stabbing pains, cramps and a sort of burning and im getting slightly worried now. IF i am pregnant then is this not a bad sign ? and if im not pregnant then this could be a bad sign too because what else could cause all these symptoms and pains ? Im going for an ultrasound tomorrow and i know that will reveal all but what do you think?Just to let you know im not a slut and im dad is dead so thanks for that . And just my doctor said she has another patient who is pregnant but it would never show up on the test. more

about a week ago i started to get a really bad virus, with severe abdominal pain and diarehea which lasted all night. i was fine the next day but the night after that it came back but like a million times worse. i also got lumps in my veins. i went to the doctor the next day and she said it was just a virus. i went home, had a sever reaction, my skin broke out in raised white patches that burnt and itched - it felt like i'd bathed in acid. i ran to the doctors, got some tablets and it went down pretty quick. she said the reason my stomach felt bruised was b'cos my bowel was strained from the diarrehea. however, now it feels like the bruising is spreading everywhere - to my back and legs. its not actual bruises, just feels alot like it does anyone have any idea or experience of what this may be more

I don't know if I should go the Docs or not about my stomach problems which I have had for the past few weeks. My stomach is constantly rumbling even whilst im eating it goes mad. I have had like a burning pain in my actual stomach. I never ever get heartburn but have had it twice and I feel sick alot. I am burping all the time and sometimes after a meal, some food will come back up into my mouth, not like im sick but like its not digested or something. I have also on two occassions had what feels like a tight throat, like a lump is in it. I have the feeling I am like hungry all the time and if I don't eat something like straight away, I feel sick, go hot and cold and just feel terrible. I even have these feelings at like 5 or 6 in the morning. The past few days I have felt abit dizzy if I bend over and just not myself, very tired and no energy. I hate going the docs if its something silly but my stomach just feels horrible and hurts. Anyone have any ideas what it could be or what I could take that would maybe help ?!?! Already tried, Milk, Andrews, stopped drinking Coke and have cut down my coffee in-take to no more than 2 cups a day !!! THANKS ALOT more

im 19 and female and for the past few days have been waking up earlier then usual and my stomach churns and i feel quite sick. also my boobs have been really sore. my period hasnt come yet either and last few months ive always come on around same time or earlier then the month before. last month i got my period on the 28th day exactly, but this time i feel different. i also feel really tired all of a sudden and the other day i felt really hot and a little tearful. i have been burning up last few days and usually when this happens my period comes that day or day after. but i still havnt got it. also havnt really had any pelvic pains, just had cramping in my stomach. my tummy is little bloated but i do get ibs so sometimes i cant tell if it that or if i could be pregnant. just i have never felt like this before especially waking up earlier feeling sicky or in the night. i guess all i can do is wait for my period, maybe it is just late this month. pls reply. thx x more

Since November I've not been too great and up to then I've always been in good health. I went to hospital with left breast pain and pain under my left ribs. They said I'd pulled a muscle but I know thats not true (rib pain lasted until Jan). A heart specialist I was seeing about an ectopic heart suggested it was Bornholms Disease. I also had been to the docs a few weeks before with pains in my right breast (near my food pipe) but said it was hormones. Then a couple of months ago I slowly developed a sensation in my throat like a lump and found it hard to swallow so the doc said its probably acid reflux so gave me gastric suppresant (beginning with "O") which I had for a month. I was also tested at the time for Helicabapter which was negative. I came off the tabs about a month ago and everything was fine until about a week ago. I started feeling breathless most days, burning in my lower stomach (not my food pipe), acidic taste in my mouth and nose, and bloating (sometimes when I eat or not but normally an hour or 2 after eating). Also a lot of gurgling in my stomach and flatulence. The only pain in my food pipe was in one spot near my right breast. It doesn't feel like indigestion. My bowel movements weren't regular but are better now. I don't have so much burning in my lower stomach during the day (mostly at night) but the last day I have been feeling nauseous which didn't happen before. I haven't been sick. I know its not helping that it's stressing me out. I saw a doctor again (never the same doctor!) and she gave me a prescription for a different gastric suppressant which I've yet to take because I'm not keen on pumping my body with pills and I'm not convinced its excess acid. Even if it is tablets only masks the problem. I have been booked in for an endoscopy but just wanted more advice from people with genuine experience or a doctor. I don't smoke, haven't had a drink since xmas day because of the probs and don't eat a lot of junk food. This has been going on for about a week now and I have never felt like this before. I'm 37 and I know your body changes as you get older but I want to feel better again.If I took the pills (they're called Lansoprazole) would it help with the symptoms of nausea and bloating etc or is it just for excess acid? Are there natural remedies? Maybe I should just take gaviscon but I know that can cause bloating. I'm lost what to do! more

well.. me & my friends we're being stupid and took lots of Pro Plus pills (caffine pills) to get hyper.. I had 12 in like 2 hours :| and now have lots of symptoms for a stomach ulcer.. It can cause them can't it.. I keep getting pains like what i'd normally get on my period, But im not due on and iv'e never got them before randomly through the month like this.. They started happening after I'd had these pills. I always feel bloated after eating. I feel sick sometimes and thats not usual for me. & I burp alot. < They are symptoms for an ulcer Im scared because I read that it could burn a hole in my stomach or something?? Recently i have felt the need to urinate more often, although when i go to the toilet nothing really comes out. When it does it is painful & i am left with a 'burning' sensation. I also have a tiny bit of blood.. but not a lot. This is strange as it seems to be on/off throughout the day.. sometimes i feel fine & it does not hurt or bleed... other times it is really sore & i feel very ill I've had stomach cramps that feel like period pain (altho i am not on or due on) I also had to stop having sex as it was far too painful It almost feels like the problem is internal? I've never felt anything like this before. I know it can't be an STI but have been told it could be bacteria in my bladder or cystitis... or even worse cervical cancer?! with all the talk about it lately i have become rather worried. Does anyone know what could be wrong with me? & if there's anything i can do before i visit my doctor? I would really appreciate it more

It as if a vampire had used me as a punching bag. They were sniffing me as if I was something they were going to eat. I was shaking as I was getting more and more nervous. Then I felt it a bite on my neck a pair of fangs had lowered into my neck I let out a scream I was burning up rapidly I was in so much pain I felt as if I was going to die on the floor. I felt a cold hand touch my skin the hand moved down my hair onto my face. It has been fifteen years since I was born and I met this family. Time was altered as was the future it is now a murky view. Chapter one: My first breath My mum a girl called Rosaline was twenty years old and she had bright blue hair and silver eyes and Ivory skin. I was nine months and ready to be brought into the world I was about to be brought out then I started to bite out of her stomach then she let off one scream. A human can’t bear the fact of a child biting out of her womb, I was getting nearer then I broke out killing my mother. His curves more prominent then suddenly an agglomeration of my young life had entered my brain I knew who my mum was but not my dad. He was not even rememberable. I was unable to think of him then I met his face when he first met my pale face. I was now taller than before as he was watching my face it was more perfect as I grew older than before my ageing body had now only one more cycle to go through the adult cycle was last as my body was finished growing my beating heart was slowing down and my oxygen decreasing slowly but I was still human my body was dying I was going to die in at least two years. The man had quit his job as a nurse then at night he took me away during the night I was in his house the man’s name was Karaka he was a vampire. A VAMPIRE! Resolved Question: I can't eat a meal without feeling sick or bloated. Is this physical or psychological?

OK about three years ago I developed a bit of an unhealthy addiction to constant exercise- 3- 4 hours every night and ate just a bowl of cereal and then snacked constantly on fruit and yoghurt and sometimes boiled egg in evening and chicken. Then my periods stopped and my weight plummeted to 7 1/2 stone (I am 5ft 8) and I was a size 6 and no longer hungry and always felt lack of energy but in end couldn't eat a meal as was so used to small meals every hour or so and realised I had to change my habits... Then I got annoyed and just binge ate and ever since then I feel like a right idiot when it comes to being 'educated' on eating normally and healthily. I am a size 10-12 now- I exercise 5 times a week- mostly kick box and run but have reverted to my old ways just using healthy foods again. I suffer from lack of energy so the last few weeks I have attempted to just stick to 3 meals a day- especially as my gruelling kick boxing sessions last 2 hours and these are 3 times a week- the other nights I run about 45 minutes in interval training- the hardest training you can do. However, I am struggling so so much. I hate eating 3 larger meals a day (which are normal size portions to all my friends and family- who are all skinny just to point out they are normal size) and I feel so sick and bloated and horrible all the frigging time. Today I had muesli for breakfast, barbecue chicken pasta for lunch and a low fat chicken tikka masala with rice from Asda (snacks were fruit and sweet oatmeal biscuits and a smoothie). However, I just feel awful awful awful when I eat meals- I hate eating any of them and my stomach feels very much how it 'should'' when I just snack healthily all day. A few days I can't take the stomach pains so I just revert to my snacking again as it doesn't hurt. I don't think its psychological- if it is it's definitely a small part as I physically hurt and feel bloated and horrible. When I say I snack healthy I mean I eat fruit, low fat biscuits, raisins, eggs and chicken mostly and low fat crisps. I think by doing this I probably exceed the calorie limit without realising yet I always burn it off as I don't put on weight... but I want to be able to sit down and eat a meal without dreading it and without it hurting. Has anyone experienced this? Any opinions? Views? Tips? Can anyone provide me with any advice? Can anyone tell me if how I feel is 'normal' or if it is just as unhealthy as I suspect? I have bad back pain and a small bit of pain in the left of my chest. The pain in the left of my chest feels like sun burn but I have not been on holidays since last July and it rains here all the time in Ireland. I also have a kinda bubbly feeling in my stomach. Resolved Question: Can we sue the hospital for negligence?

Last year in November my mother went into hospital for a week due to bad stomach pains - we later learned it could be pancreatitis. Anyway, when she was in, she went on morphine and a drip, so they inserted a canula for ease into her upper arm. To my knowledge, they should put canulas into the back of your hand. After they took it out and she came home, she suffered pain and a burning sensation in the canula site area. She hasn't been able to use her arm as she normally would have been doing, and has had endless trips to the doctor about it. First the doctor thought that it was an infection, but after two courses of useless anti-biotics, and more trips back to the doctors, it has not improved. The doctor has had a thought that the supposedly infected area is not infected at all, it could be damaged in some way. We wonder if it is possible for us to sue the hospital on grounds of negligence, as she cannot use her arm properly and is in great pain, as I said before. Thanks for your help. more

I am currently 24 weeks & 4 days pregnant (6 months & 4 days). I've been having bloody nose & dry nasal,...difficulty with sleeping =( my sides are in pain when I lay on one side for awhile. So I have to wake up just to turn to the other side...err! but I do not have any morning sickness =)) I can pretty much eat anything. My stomach is feeling really tight! belly button about to *pop* out (not yet) but close enough lol I get these burning pain sensation on top of my belly when I sit down for a bit,...so I have to get up just to lessen the pain! Resolved Question: Bowel cancer, IBS? anyone thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.?

I have had a few problems with my bowels. For about a year now, i get nausea quite often, I have very strange skinny stools every time i have a bowel movement and about once a month or so i get a lot of pain when i have a bowel movement including burning. I often get a painful hard bloated stomach and need to take medication to relieve the pain. I have noticed that occasionally i have small red particles that look like undigested food plus sometimes tiny black particles that look like tiny pieces of coal and occasionally small specks of blood. I only went to the doctor about my nausea and she has referred me to a specialist. Will probably have an endoscopy. Any ones thoughts or experience on any of the above would be helpful. also is the endoscopy painful. I feel very nervous about the test. Could the symptoms be IBS? as I have had this for many years now, but these symptoms are new. Thanks more

Resolved Question: 13 month old having sleeping problems?

I have asked this question before but its still happening. My son who is now 13 months old was having nightmares really bad, long story short he had an accident where he burnt both his hand on the radiator which ended up with him being bandaged up for 10 days, after that he was waking with nightmares, crying, shaking screaming and there was no consoling him. We tried cuddling him to settle him, giving him a drink, more milk, rocking him, just laying him back down and talking at him, singing to him, sitting with him, we got him a night light i even offered him food and nothing worked. A few nights in a row i tried to just let him cry to try and tire himself out, i would go in and tuck him in again try to reassure him and then i would leave the room when he was screaming, i would only be sat on the other side of the door but it was heart breaking, this was advised by my health visitor and she said it would last 20 mins tops, but 2 and 1/2 hours later i gave in and took him into bed with me i tried this for a few days running and still nothing. I dont know what to do anymore, i am 11 weeks pregnant, i am anemic and just recently come out of hospital with stomach pains and have been told to rest as much as possible. My husband does as much as he can but he starts work early in the mornings and finishes late so its not fair to ask him to do more. If you have any tips pr advice i would really appreciate it! Well last week I ate about 6 to 8 bags of popcorn but not all in one just shared out for each night and then I went to my girlfriends and we bought food and I don't like to leave food at guests houses so I kinda force fed my self and I felt a bit sick because we ate at 9.00pm and then next day I had a normal dinner and felt ill then the next day I was fine in morning got a shower had dinner felt really ill started to get this horrible intense pain in my back I could barely move and I was weak then next day I was feeling a little bit better but sick and weak then at night I felt perfect then today I feel sick dizzy and weak but I'm sick of just staying at home sitting doing nothing I really want to go to college even though I am ill plus sorry to be rude but I am burping alot for some reason and I'm scared of throwing up please please please help me. Hope you like hospital food! It was a cold dull day in early November. The sun was hidden behind thick grey clouds and was only managing to cast small sprays of light. The trees stood naked and tall; with each gust of wind howling through their skeletal like bodies. The area surrounding me seemed as though it was cloaked in a thin narrow mist, blocking out any other sight. As I was eager to arrive home, I accelerated what was remaining of my route and did not stop until I had reached my destination. You might wonder: ‘’why so eager?’’ well I was coming to that. It was that time of the year again and I did not wish to waste a second of it. Bonfire night had finally arrived, and this year, I was more excited than ever. I quickly wrapped my left hand around the icy door handle, and speedily took out my key before unlocking the door. My heart was beating rapidly, sweat dropped from my forehead onto my lips, and I began to pant like a dog. When I entered my small cosy home, my mother was sat anxiously on the couch, waiting to greet me with a warm smile. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw me, and then asked rhetorically ‘‘are you excited then? I’ve got some biggens!’’ ‘’I can’t wait!’’ I replied happily. She giggled in excitement before pulling herself up and heading for the back garden. ‘’Come on then, they’re about to start!’’ she said politely. I followed her with a jog; quickly glancing out of the kitchen window to notice the daylight had already crawled into darkness, and that is when the churning feeling began to make it’s presence known in my stomach... When we arrived in the yard I took a deep breath of cool refreshing air; it tasted humid and dry, like damp paper. We started at the sky in unison to admire other people’s displays. ‘’Haha, are’s are betta!’’ my mum said with a grin look on her face. ‘’I doubt it’’ I said sarcastically. ’’Well it’s time to find out then init!’’ She exclaimed joyfully before strolling down to bottom of the garden to light our very first firework… whooooosh! A sudden, unexpected gust of wind had blown over the stand the fireworks were on, and the next ten were ready to explode…straight at me! ’’God no!’’ I screamed at top pitch, my stomach feeling like a washing machine, constantly turning and turning. My 12 years of life flashed before my eyes as I drifted into a subconscious haze. I remember the sinking feeling, the aching pain that was about to hit me like a car at top speed. Everything was in slow motion; the birds flying in the cloud infested sky above; the thick smoke drifting in the air; the shaking that consumed my body in fear…I felt sick with dread, just waiting for the firework to blanket me in smoke and fire, feeling so helpless and numb, the wait seemed like a lifetime, but then it hit me, right in the stomach. I dropped to the ground shocked. My body immobilised and deadened. Warm saliva rolled down my chin onto my neck. I lay still, and then from the corner of my eye I saw my mum run over to me screeching concerned words and then sit beside me, nursing and reassuring me I would be fine. Then I closed my eyes, and when I next awoke, I was in hospital. I was knocked unconscious and awoke 3 hours after my skin graft operation. And as I did, the taste of anaesthetic clogged the back of my throat, almost choking me. The bed was uncomfortable and itchy, the pillow sending my neck into an aching world wind. ‘’Argh’’ I whaled, fighting with my duvet to release myself. I peered downwards to my belly, it was covered in bandages and sent a throbbing pain right the way up my body. Then the real pain flared. An excruciating, burning, ripping pain sent an electric shock up my spine. I stood up stunned and paralysed, and then my eyes found savour in my mother. ’’Don’t move sweetheart, you need to lay down, you’re gonna be okay.’’ My mum’s reassuring voice echoed in my head. ‘’What’s happened?’’ I asked worriedly, panting in the process. ‘’You were hit by a firework and it knocked you out. I called the ambulance as soon as it happened, I thought you were gonna die!’’ My mum replied. A few minutes after, a doctor dressed in a blue cotton tracksuit entered the room holding a brown coloured board. ‘’He’s going to be fine. After 5 weeks he’ll be allowed out. But the main thing is he’s alive.’’ Uncontrollable tears rolled down my checks, wetting the dry and pale skin. My mum asked what was wrong, but my sobs washed out any other sound. I was just happy to be alive, and next Bonfire we are celebrating it safely, INSIDE! Thanks, I know it's alot. x more
