Okay so I have been having very serious sharp pain in the lower left side of my stomach for about four days now, along with that I have a huge headache, my fever is 105.7, I have been throwing up acid every five minutes, I can't sleep, I can't eat, nd its very hard for me to walk. What do you think the reason to that is? Please tell me what I might have? more

hi guys, basically im needing you adivice here. back about 3 weeks ago now i came off my pill after being on it for about a month and a half. it made e very sick and cause i was sick i didnt complete the pill as the last 7 pills i throw up. i did get my withdraw bleed a couple of days later on the 22nd of may. the thing is 4 days after my withdraw bleed i had unprotected sex with my partner and over that weekend i had sharp pains down my left side i had that till tuesday the 2nd i then had unprotected sex on the wednesday and now since thursday i have had cramps in my stomach it could be my period but as im all mucked up with my pill last month i dont know. im just getting lower stomach pains and it affects my back as well. can anyone help?ive been taken off the pill by my doctor more

Hi, Well i have been asking about ovulation on here for the last few days, i started testing Last monday and never got a positive, but as i was due to ovulate around thursday i was keeping an eye on other things, like i got my usual ovualtion twinge in my left had side, my cm was stretchy and EW. So i am going to take that i ovulated when i was supposed to an am 5dpo. Today I had a very nipping like pain in my lower stomach, on the right hand side, which went on and off for about 2 hours. While that was happening i was getting a very sharp shooting pain in my down below front part. lol ( dont know what else to call it without sounding crude lol) which was very painful. My question is does this have anything to do with TTC, and have you ever had this and found out you were pregnant? Could it have anything to do with implantation? Thanks more

Trying to be as brief as possible, it's a long story. 19 and a virgin Six weeks ago got very deep burning, itching, swelling and stretching feeling on vulva - external only, mostly mons pubis and labia majora. Although I do have one part at the top of my clitoral hood that sometimes when pressed feels bruised. Saw doctor, didn’t examine me and said it would only be thrush. Prescribed pessary, but too swollen to take. Took oral pill instead, took another a week later and ate anti-candia diet...mild relief. Was bed bound for two weeks with an ice pack, which seemed to help. Got period a week after first pain. Pain seemed to reduce, but still linger. The day after it was supposed to end, when I woke up I maneuvered in bed and got a sharp, knife like feeling on my vulva. A few hours later, dark red blood trickled out. My mum suggested it was because I’d been lying down a lot and it hadn’t all come out. Went to A&E that day, urine detected infection; doctor suggested UTI. Examined vulva and took a swab for culture, which was satisfactory. I assume from her silence that my vulva looked normal. Was prescribed Augmentin for 7 days, felt mild relief only as it was finishing. Went to outpatient clinic, another urine test said I had no infection and that there was nothing they could do for me. Around this time I developed a dull, nagging pain in my lower left abdomen. A month later, it’s still here. It’s not very painful, but it’s noticeable and annoying. Also around this time started getting a sharp, recurrent pain my my lower back, near my left kidney. It stabs me every few seconds and last for roughly 30 seconds...comes back every now and then. One time it was intermittent with an identical pain in my left thigh. Lower back feels swollen, bruised. Saw osteopath who said my back is stiff in 3 places and will treat it, but thinks vulva pain is unrelated - says back pain may have been caused by infection and was surprised I haven’t had a gynecological ultrasound, and suggested going to GP for full blood work. Vulva pain is now mostly bruised feeling when sitting for too long. I feel discomfort (sort of like something pushing its way out from within) for approx 30 seconds and if I stand and gently move around, it seems to subside. I’ve had problems with period cramps before and have twice this past year had extremely bad cramps to the point of dizzyness and vomiting. I got the shakes and had to lie in bed in a dark room on my side and breathe into my cupped hands. After about two hours I got a kick in my stomach from within, like a big thud and it just stopped and I felt 100% fine. I saw a doctor about this who didn’t seem to care, and put me on the pill at my request. I started it in January but I only took one pack because I was worried about side effects. Could it be something to do with this? more

Can I put anything else in the subject line..... :) I feel like I have everything wrong with me at the moment and I am making myself ill I think!! Basically my husband is an alcoholic, which he is getting help for, but over the last few months he has been a complete nightmare and has left me in a bit of a state really. He was verbally and mentally abusing me to the point where I was hiding in my own home as he wasn't letting me sleep, which is very silly!!! He has now seen the light and has apologised for things and is trying to get help, but because of his behaviour he has caused me to be very stressed and very very anxious all of the time, I can not seem to calm down. I am shaking typing this. Also, I was diagnosed with acid reflux about 2 months ago, and am now on lansoprozol tablets twice a day. They were helping me, but now they don't seem to be, I don't know if its because I am stressed and anxious that my stomach does feel worse. My stomach feels very tender, If I press it, It makes me feel a bit nausious for a second then goes away. I have not actually been sick at all. I was also diagnosed with a fatty liver, which is just down to diet and exercise as they did a scan of my liver, gallbladder and pancreas and all came back clear apart from the liver part. But this area sometimes feels awkward to. When I first apoke to the doctor he said that these feelings are completely normal and in time they will go away (This was before I started being anxious etc though) I have not been back to the docs since. I do feel bloated most of the time. I have lost almost 2 1/2 stone over all of this, which is great as I needed to!!! Another stress is I have ovarian cysts, I have suffered with these for the 14 years now, they dont cause any pain though, but I just want everything to go away now and for me to feel better. I want to stop feeling anxious and I am constantly shaking on the inside not on the outside if that makes sence. I feel very on edge all the time and feel better when I walk around etc!! I also now have a pain in my right calf that I am now starting to worry about. My lower left side also feels quite tender. Can I add anything else to this???? Does anyone have any advice on this other than go to my GP? Does anyone else have the same kind of thing going on. I am just really worried and thinking that other things are wrong with me. Hi i'm hoping you can help me! My fiance who is 30 is having lower abdominal discomfort. ITs been going on about 5 weeks. He says its like a burning feeling all across his lower stomach. Having a bowel movement seems to make it worse. for the last week he's started to have a pain which is localised on his lower left side of his back too. Dont know if its realated. He's been to the gp who told him to take Pepcid AC, for acid in the stomach, which has been of no help to him. Any ideas whats going on!!! He's had bloods done about 2 weeks ago and his liver count was raised slightly, which the gp said not to worry about. And also his blood pressure has been 150/100 for the last 2 weeks! more

Right i've been getting this pain on my hips, lower abdomen and sometimes abit further down. It also sometimes hurts on my lower stomach. Its usually on my left side but sometimes on both. I usually get it two weeks before my period until my period. Its NOt period pain & i haven't been doing anything different. Hi there guys, I hope ye can help! My fiance, who is 30 has been having a burning pain which started under his left arm down his side (to the waist) and sometimes across his lower abdomen. He said it doesn't hurt but it feels like sunburn. IT comes and goes but it is present most days. Also, the other day he told me after we had intercourse he had a pain in his lower abdomen (not burning but pain). Then the burning sensation on his side and abdomen got worse. Several times during each day i notice him rubbing his side (mostly the left one) and rubbing his stomach too. He is going to visit the gp wednesday but any ideas on what could be going on would be greatly appreciated. Resolved Question: Low pain, frequent urination....?

I have been experiencing low pain to my left side (right if you were standing in front on me) for some time now...it feels like a stitch but not the intense stabbing feeling you get with a full on stitch...it's more like a dull stitch....only on this side though. I have also been going for a wee over 15times a day...at least 6 times during the night. I went to the Dr and got antibiotics for a UTI but I am still going to the toilet as much as I was. I do not have any pain when going to the toilet and I can alway pee (i.e its not cystitis as when I need a wee I can go). I have a nagging feeling that it's all linked to some sort of problem with my reproductive organs.....I am planning to go to the Drs again this week but I always feel like no one listens to me when I go. Anyone had the same symptoms and got a diagnosis. I am trying for a baby right now with no joy (on our 4th month of trying now). I am worried that the reason I have not fallen pregnant is because of the above and some sort of problem I have. Some background info about me....I am 24, with IBS, although I do not suffer with it like I did 4 years ago, I am a vegetarian and drink soya milk. I believe I have an intolerance to cheese and this gives me a mega stomach ache after eating.Thanks all for your replies.... I went to the Dr today..well I say Dr I got to see the nurse and wow what an experience that was! Here was me thinking all I would need to do was pee in a pot and maybe have a swab (which I did both) I got a lecture about trying for a baby!!! Not only did she give me the biggest lecture she also tried to force the pill and patch on me even tho the pill has never suited me previously as my records told her! I am engaged to be married, 24 years of age and made to feel like an irresponsible 17year girl!!! I was furious! When I refused condoms she told me "you will end up like Jade Goody if you don't start using condoms" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about getting more than you bargained for!!!!!!!!!! I'm livid! more

i think i have appendicitis. i have started getting this pain near my lower stomach and it seems to be getting worse. It doesn't hurt when i press it though. hi. im 17, was at the hospital yesterday to talk about having a laproscopy for suspected endometriosis. today i woke up and got out of bed and straight away i got severe pains on my right lower side of stomach ( below and little bit to the left of hip bone) it was really bad i couldnt stand up straight and i felt like crying out. it lasted for about 5-7 mins and it went quickly ( the pain wasn't easing until it disappered it just automatically stopped) that was this morning and since then i have been able to do everything normally and its not hurting at all, im wondering what it was? thanks more

A week and two days ago, during sexual intercourse with my boyfriend the condom broke. The next day we went to the Young People's Information Centre and I saw a nurse and got the morning after pill. I took this in about 18 hours of having sex so the chances of getting pregnant I was told was quite minimal. However since I took this tablet I have had a few pains in the lower left side of my stomach, and at times it has been quite painful. I have been back since and they said it could be an ectopic pregnancy but that it was highly unlikely. I took a pregnancy test two days ago and it came back negative, but I have to take one again in a few days as it may not show up yet. However, I am due on my period and instead of it being the normal amount I am experiencing brown blood from my vagina and it is unusually light. I'll be going to see the nurse in two days with my boyfriend but I wonder if anyone else may have any idea what this could mean? Thank you for your help, it is appreciated. more

hi im 17 and have been experiencing problems with periods for 4 years. my gynecologist has now referred me to hospital for a laprocopy to see if i have endometriois. on and off over the last few months i have been experiencing throbbing pains in the lower sides of my stomach ( near ovaries), i don't get them all the time but when i do they hurt and only last for a couple of seconds. i mostly get the pain on my left side but sometimes on my right. today i experienced a very very very sharp pain on my right side while eating dinner, i can only describe as very painful and sharp but went within seconds i felt like crying out but before i had the chance it disappeared. what do you think this is??? i have my hospital appointment on the 9th, they wont do the laprocopy then, only talk to me about it thanks more

hey im 17 and have been on different types of the pill for nearly 2 years due to heavy and painful periods. after months of this, my gynecologist advised me to take yasmin back to back for 9 months this did not work as i was experiencing bleeding and pains. so my gynecologist has referred me to hospital for a laproscopy basically seeing if i have endometriois. this was a month ago and the hospital has not sent me a letter with an appointment yet and i am still bleeding. have been bleeding for 2 months and experiencing pains. sometimes severe sometimes not bad. but also getting throbbing pains to the left side of my lower stomach and sometimes on my right. what shall i do? i just want this whole thing to stop as its getting me down. ( and im spending a lot of money on pads lol) what shall i do? ring the hospital up or just wait and see if a letter comes through the door? thanksi havent had any ultra sounds or anything apart from tablets which were before i began the pill and the pill. the pains to the left lower stomach are around where my ovaries are i would say at a guess. more

I have been suffering from pretty much constant back pain for about the past 4 years now. I get severe muscular pain on the lower left side of my back which spreads round to my stomach, but on the stomach it feels like pins and needles. My lower spine feels like it grinds together when i sit, stand, lie down or pretty much move in general lol. When I cough or sneeze, it seems like im about to lose the power in my legs. I have been told by doctors that I have lumbago and told by a chiropractor that I have a twisted pelvis. Unfortunately neither have been able to do much to kill the pain. Does anyone out there know by the symptoms described what the hell is wrong with my back, and more importantly offer some advice on how to fix it. Hi Everyone, I am experiencing pain and tenderness in the lower part of my abdomen, probably more in the pelvic region. I have ibs and have had it for a while now so experiences pains and cramps in my stomach anyway but this is different. The part that is tender often gets swollen on that side so it looks a bit lopsided. I recently had a smear too ( which was clear but have in the past had treatment for CIN 111) and straight afterwards had pain in that area, i ended up holding it for most of the way home. Even leaning forward can be a little painful, i don't know if its relevant but i also have an anal fissure which im not sure how far up that goes so don't know if it can be part of it. Ive been to the doctors about this in the past but she seemed to think it was just to ibs, however im not so sure as that doesn't explain the severe pain in that side after my smear. Can anyone give advice as to what this maybe as it is starting to concern me now but i dont want to go back to the doctors and waste her time. Okay, well im a little embarrassed to talk about this but I started my period 2 years ago, but my last period was 2 months ago and lasted for 2 weeks and a couple of days! My period are very irregular for example I can be on my period one month, miss a whole month and then come on the month later. Since then, I haven't had a period, but have constant stomach pains. They start off at the bottom of my lower stomach on the left hand side and then move over to the opposite side. It leaves me in pain and discomfort. I don't know what to do! Please help ! i am 23 weeks pregnant and Yesterday i started getting pains down the left and right sides of my stomach, across my lower abdomen and all across my back.The pains in my stomach were constant but the pains in my abdomen and back were coming and going. Also i hadnt felt the baby move all day. When i went to the maternity ward they said the hearbeat was strong but they did not know what the pains were caused by and said i needed to keep an eye out for my abdomen tightening.Today i have had exactly the same pains. Hi i am 17, and can remember being about 13 when i was doing p.e, and i just leaked and could not help it, ever since then i get pain in my left side just above my leg, on my stomach. I saw a doctor not long ago about the pain and they said it was to do with my immune system because i was feeling down. But the other day i went into a shop, not needing the toilet, and i just totally wet myself and had to run back to the car. i Could not stop it at all. I am female, but I know it is not menstruation cramps this extremely different/worse. The whole time I was sitting it was hurting (like 1-10 it was a 3)and then would get worse (like 5) and then go back to the lower constant pain. Resolved Question: I'm 19 and my periods haven't started yet. Please help!?

All the other things that are supposed to happen during puberty, such as body hair and breast growth, happened to me between the ages of about 11 and 15, so I'm starting to get really worried that my periods have never started. I have had a couple of ultrasounds and blood tests and they came back as normal. Recently my stomach has been feeling really bloated and I've been constipated a few times, despite my high-fibre diet. I also have been experiencing slight pain in my left side for a week or so. I went to see my GP about all of this but he didn't seem to think that all my symptoms were connected in any way, and suggested that I start taking the pill to see if that brings on my first period. He also said that my lack of periods could be due to my slightly low weight, but I've tried so hard to put on weight over the last year or so and I'm still very slim, so I don't think my weight has anything to do with it. There are lots of thin women out there and I'm sure most of them get periods. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated! more

im 35 weeks pregnant and last week i felt as though the baby was starting to engage, i felt pressure and was consantly needing the toilet and started to waddle too. since sat nite i have had stomach pains on and off, i mite not have it in the morning but then it comes on and stays for anything up til the next morning goes away a bit and does the same again that day. its at the bottom of my bump and doesnt necessarily feel like cramping but just a contstant pain which makes me feel sick and warm. paracetamol doesnt do anythin and its sore enough to make me cry. when i walk its absolute agony and i can hardly move my legs. i have tried lying on my left hand side and sleeping etc but its really getting to me. i def wouldnt say it was uncomfortable but a def pain. the babys still moving lots and no bleeding or anything, i also have a slight pain in my lower back at each side. can any1 help? i dont wana phone the hospital for themjust to say its all normal. can any1 help?is it safe to use a hot water bottle on my tummy? more

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and about three times now I've woken up in the early hours with sever pain on the left hand side of my lower back after laying on that side.After sitting up or changing position the pain goes away after about 10 minutes.sometimes the pain spread to my stomach aswell.I've had this on and off since I was about 13/14 weeks more

Resolved Question: Shooting pain from the right side of my pubic area, up to the middle of the top of my stomach?

It kind of hurt, it didn't last long but it didnt feel good. It shot up to the middle of my stomache, like below my breasts. I know there's alot of weird things going on with my body right now. I'm 14 weeks pregnant but today was the first time I've experienced this and I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and if it's something seriously wrong with me? I'm going to the gyno next tuesday and I'll for sure ask him but I just wanted to ask women who are or were pregnant. I also wanted to ask, what it feels like when you feel the baby moving around for the first time? And when will I start feeling it? I have been having really bad stomach cramps since last week. I had to have last Monday off as the pains just got so bad and then on Friday I was sent home as I was in tears because of the pain. I tried to book an emergency appointment on Friday but the doctors couldn’t help. Last night the pains were so bad I consider going A&E but due to my massive fear of hospitals and needles I decided against it. I tired to book an appointment this morning but again the doctors have nothing until 5:50pm today so that’s when I will be going to try and sort this out. I’ve dragged myself to work today as my other colleague has called in sick and I felt bad with us both being off so I am here now. The thing is the pain seems to be 100 times worse when I’m sitting down and I work at a computer so its not really helping being here. My boss has told me I can go if I feel too rough but I would just feel so guilty. It’s a sharp shooting pain, first it started by my belly button but it has now moved onto my left side, lower abdominal. The pain has turned into a more constant cramp rather than shooting pains now. I’m abit worried bout going to the doctors incase he has to take a blood test. My fear is needles is massive. I will probably take the rest of the week off depending on what the doctor says tonight. Is this something he can sign me off for? I know I can sign myself off for 5 working days but I’m just wondering if the pain continues into next week. Thanks more

Hello , I'm 12 and i get very very very sharp pain in the left side of my stomach . When i get iot i find it hard to walk . It alomost feels as if im going to collaps. I went to the doctor about a year ago because of this and he didn't know what it could be .
