Im 18, female, and weight 94.5 pounds, I passed a kidney stone 6 months ago on my left kidney after that I went for a check up the doctors said I have kidney stones in both of my kidneys and they sent me home because "the stones weren't too big to treat: now its been a while and recently ive been getting these really bad pain on my right side of my stomach like 3 times a week ... and it goes all the way down to my leg ... i am going to go check myself at the doctor but i was wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be? ive had breast surgery before also twice for infections, i have asthma, and lately I cant stop losing weight i usually weight at least 110 but day by day i lose more. I have Crohn's Disease and Acid Reflux. I run a lot, playing soccer and basketball. But whenever I run, I get this horrible pain in the lower side of my stomach, usually the left side, to the right of my left hip. It feels as if there is a heavy brick on my side, and it causes me to have breathing issues that my doctor mistook for asthma. The doctor can't figure out what this pain is from. It is worse than a normal cramp, for I have to stop running. When I keep running, it feels like I popped something/ something in my stomach snapped. One time, when I continued to run, you could see something vibrating in and out in my stomach through my skin; it was very painful. Any ideas? Thank you. more

I've had on and off stomach aches since Sunday(it's now Friday night). My mom thinks I have a slight fever, but she only knows from feeling my forehead. Ok it is a little weird and I'm sorry I know its long but could you please help me find some insight... and I don't get scared often but this is by far the worst nightmare I've ever had... It started off as me in some sort of underground building where I know I have to have to pass through a series of challenging rooms to make it to the last room where I have to save someone... The first rooms aren't too bad, they are just filled with slightly creepy stuff like spiders and monsters I've seen in movies. As I start getting closer to the end the rooms start to get more personal and I found myself each time walking into scenarios where there has been an accident and my family or friends are hurt.. This really creeps me out so I start running through all the rooms just trying to reach the end until eventually I reach the second last room where I stop because it is different. There is an unfamiliar woman teacher a class of school children that are sitting on the floor. She is telling them about money with a black board. I don't know but for some reason I don't like her. I look over to the other side of the room and I feel actual real pain in my stomach. There is like a machine, kind of like a wood chipper, in which dead bodies are being tossed into and it is spurting out massive piles of money. I feel the worse sickness in my stomach so I scream and run to the other side of the room right before the door. I know it is the last and hardest challenge so I prepare myself for the the worst and gain momentum to slam into the door to take the challenge head on. It was so much worse than I imagined. I expected like a large room but I find myself running into a rather small closet lined with mirrors and I can see my reflection. The sickness comes back ten fold. I drop to my knees and scream in agony which shatters the glass...... After that I woke up into reality a sweaty mess with the same sickness in my stomach and I threw up next to my bed. I'm sorry I know it is long and fucked up but I can't seem to forget this dream and I keep having it. I don't want to bother my parents with it and its kinda weird anyway lol. Is it normal to have a dream like this? A few months ago I went to the doctor because I had stomach pains- not severe, just slight and annoying. I told her that they got slightly worse when I was lifting bags of animal food at college so she said "you have a pulled muscle" and sent me away with some pain killers. I was fine for awhile after that. Then a few months after that, I began having trouble sleeping so I started on Nytol tablets, around the same time I got more severe stomach pains directly beneath my bottom rib on my left hand side, I noticed that there was a hard bump there too. I thought maybe it was the Nytol, but it carried on after I stopped taking them. I had a whole week of the pain that time, and since then I have had occasional twinges in the same place. My question is, do I bother with the doctor? Because seriously, when I mention to my mum and dad that I have the pain they just tend to think I am moaning, my mum in paticular will just say "Ah well" then carries on with what she is doing, so should I even bother going to the doctors if my mum doesn't think it is serious? more

I wrote this awhile ago and just want an opinion on it. Mary was cold, even if she had a thick blanket tucked tightly around her. This wintry feeling has been going on for days and, at first, she had no idea what was causing it. She knows that she isn’t sick since she isn’t coughing nor has any other side effects. All it is is that she is freezing. It took her four days to figure out the problem. Now, she really wishes that it was a mere cold. But with the doors closing all by them selves, the feelings of being watched, the knocking noises on the night table during the night and all the… coldness, she was sure that she was being haunted. She didn’t know by who, or what, but all she knew was that she wants it to go away and leave her alone. She can’t stand clattering her teeth for the rest of her life and hiding under covers. That’s why, on Thursday, when her parents were gone to work and her brother was gone to school she came out from under her cold blanket and stood up from the bed. She had wanted desperately to leave this house but her mother obliges her to stay, believing that she was truly sick. Mary was now shaking more than ever as she stood in the middle of her room. She was shaking from cold and from fear. A sudden freezing wind went past her face, blowing her dark hair in the other direction. Mary could feel her heart pounding in her chest and in her ears; her blood was pumping cold, hence the icy temperature and her legs were feeling weak and unsteady. She tried to speak, to tell whatever was there to go away but all that came out of her mouth were stutters and chokes. She sighed, close to tears and closed her eyes while pinching the bridge of her nose between her fingers. A sudden, strong force hit her behind the knees, knocking her hard onto the ground. His mouth suddenly formed into a grin, showing off a pair of straight, glistening white teeth. Mary found herself backing up very slowly, as he kept taking steps towards her. It wasn’t until her back hit the wall that she tried to run again, but he took her by her waist easily and brought her back against it. He was now holding her wrists tightly, so that she couldn’t escape, but the force of his hands made her believe that if she tried to struggle out he would snap her wrists off easily. “Why are you afraid of me, Mary?” He spoke. His grin slowly turned into a concerned scowl and his grip on her wrist loosened. Mary was stMary was still crying as silently as she could. Her shoulders were shaking at every sob and her face was completely dampened. Eventually, his grip completely loosened and he let go, taking a step back away from her. The pain is above the pubic line and i feel the pain going thru the other side ( back ) so i feel it from the front of my belly to the bootom of my back. Open Question: PLEASE HELP! Deep, lower right sharp back pain type injury.?

I'm a basketball player, 13 5'7, 120 lbs., very active. I was at a camp 4 days ago and while doing layup's my back (lower right only) randomly started hurting. It was durable, so I kept playing. I asked one of the high schoolers for a stretch I could do and he told me to lay on my stomach, feet together, pelvis on the ground, and do a push up like motion. Anyways, it hurt like crazy when I got home. The next morning, I took Ibuprofen, and continued to play. Therefore, it got much worse. The next day, it was hard to walk and pretty much do anything, so, I sat out at camp. Today, it still hurts and I'm in alot of pain. I've been putting pain relief cream on it, and heat it at different times. Again, lower, deep, right side only back pain (not on the spinal cord). Have you had this injury before? Personal experience? Please! Give me some streches to do, advice, anything. I need to get back on my feet ASAP. A few days ago I woke up with a horrible headache that lasted all day but toward the night time it went away. The next day I woke up with one area of my left side of my back hurting really bad-- it felt like a certain muscle was just throbbing and no matter how hard I tried or how many positions I laid in, it would not relax. Now, about 3 days after I woke up with the headache, I still have a little headache but the pain in my left side has stretched from the left side of my spine to my side and my ribs on the left side. I feel very tired but for some reason I can't fall asleep. I don't have a rash at all, however. The pain isn't unbearable but it just feels very sore and sometimes my stomach and chest area get random pains of soreness. Nothing itches either, though. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to what this may be?Also, it's seems like there's an area where all the pain is caused and in the area it hurts very bad even with the slightest touch but everywhere else that the pain is stretched is just sore, it doesn't hurt like this certain area along my spine. more

I've had this dull pain in the right side of my abdomen for the past day or so and it's been freaking me out a bit. A part of me thinks it's appendicitis because: - It's concentrated on my right side. - My temperature is a little higher than normal. Not exactly a fever, but it's up to 99.3. But another part of me just thinks that it's just constipation because: - My bowels feel, for a lack of a better word, uncomfortable. Like I need to go, but just can't. - I have not vomitted, not even this morning when I woke up with an upset stomach. (I thought it was nausea at first, but then I realized that even though my stomach hurt like HELL, I did NOT feel like I was going to throw up.) - I have a little bit of back pain. - And it does NOT hurt when I push on my lower right abdomen. (I have had a bowel movement today, this afternoon, but since then, even when I felt like I had to go, I just couldn't.) Am I just being paranoid? Or is it something more serious? I had unprotected sex in feb. i had my regular period twice but around april i had every sign i was pregnant, nauseous, headachey, raised temps, fatigue, frequent urination, everything. ive been pregnant before so i'm familiar with the symptoms. i ended up taking 2 tests they came up negative. i ruled out pregnancy and forgot about it for 2 months. i have had regular 5 day periods (cramping and clots) every month since then. its now july and i would be about 20 weeks if i were. ive gained 13 lbs, my lower stomach has gotten predominately harder and larger, and some extra stretch marks, im somewhat overwieght so its not noticeably round but most of all i have been feeling little movements like light kicks or flutters in my lower stomach mainly on one side. i know it could be gas, but its more and more everyday now for the past 3 weeks, once in awhile early in the day but mostly at night when i lay down. im also having back pains, fatigue, headaches, food cravings, leg cramps, skin changes, and A LOT of frequent urination. my breasts are a little sore and some what purple and vainy. every part of me is telling me im pregnant. I literally FEEL pregnant. i do have a doctors appointment scheduled for next week. im just wondering if anyone else has been through a similar experience? could i indeed be pregnant? ive heard of people getting their periods throughout their pregnancy, and false negatives and such, so just wondering if this could be me. please dont be rude, im just nervous and would like a few opinions. please be mature. more

My boyfriend and I had sex about 3 weeks ago (about two days before my period). My period lasted for 5 days and then we had sex again two days after my period ended. When I was pregnant with my daughter i started getting my first ever gas pains in my stomach and abdomen. Ive never had them before that. After i had her i thought they would go away but they never have. Last night at about 4 am. i woke up crying because the pain on the lower left side of my stomach hurts so bad. My family thinks it might be a kidney stone scince it runs in the family. but the pain comes and gose. any idea what it may be?now my urine is also cloudy, so any ideas? more

Open Question: 15 weeks pregnant & sharp stomach pain?

I was experiencing discomfort and light pain on occasion and was pretty sure it was Round Ligament pain or the baby starting to be on a nerve (or something to that effect). My sister's mid-wife told her that the pain could be so severe from both those that it could bring you to your hands and knees. I hadn't experienced that but now, I think I need more answers. I just got this incredibly sharp pain on the right side of my stomach (more so in between my belly button and hip). It was so severe and had me in tears. I didn't know what to do because I'm home by myself, 15 weeks pregnant and it really scares me. Now, it's completely gone (no sign of pain). The happened the other day too. Is this okay?I have no bleeding and it goes away as fast as it comes on. more

My bestfriend just had sex with her boyfriend and he came inside her and he kept going after he came. She just got off birth control a week ago, she is complaining about lower stomach pains and she is having a lot of gas. I know it is way too early to tell but could she be pregnant? When you just get off BC aren't you super fertile and chances of multiple births? Twins run on both sides of their family and my friend is 20years old. Could she be pregnant? Open Question: Constant Abdominal Pain?

I've had abdominal pain for the last two years, and it's usually constant. I've been multiple doctors, and i've had multiple tests, but they can't seem to figure out what it is. Weird, eh? Anyways, my stomach always seems upset. I always get naseaus after i eat, but tums usually work. The pain is in my upper stomach, and down my sides. It's usually gas though... I know that i'm lactose intolarent, so i try to stay away from those foods. Does anybody have the same symptoms, or know what i may have. P.S. It isn't IBS, ulcers, or GERD. more

Open Question: Does this sound like a realistic beat-up scene?

I'm writing a story and the main character gets beat up. I have never been beat up (fortunately), so I wouldn't know how it feels. I was wondering, though, if you think this scene sounds believable. Why/why not? Thanks! It's not as long as it looks... The boy pulled me off of the garbage bin and threw me onto the ground. The two other boys held my arms down while I fidgeted and started to holler, but was stopped when a hand clasped over my mouth. I curled up when they repeatedly kicked my stomach, panting and struggling for breath. They were all on top of me, trying to tame me down. I was beginning to feel exhausted from fighting back—slowly, I became weaker and weaker, and decided that whatever they were going to do would be over a lot quicker like this anyway—I was only prolonging the inevitable. I was still shouting, when suddenly someone heaved a fist towards my face. I felt my face sear with pain. I screamed when I sensed the blood ooze down from my nose, the metallic taste entering my mouth. “Shut up!” one of the boys yelled back at me, kicking me in the mouth. I caught a glance at the carmine red blood that ran down my chin, dripping down my neck, and staining my sweater. I was unsure whether or not my teeth were still intact—my whole mouth felt numb. He struck me across the head—I sensed my surroundings start to spin uncontrollably, the laughter of the boys meshing into one voice. I began to lose track of who was doing what. Everything became a blur when someone swung a punch at my left eye. I moaned at the pain, the achiness that engulfed my body. “What’s that?” one of the boys chuckled. “What did you say?” “I think he wants more.” one of the other guys concluded. “So let’s give it to him.” There was a powerful blow to my back—perhaps a kick. My breath had been knocked out, and I was attempting to revive it, but it was hard to do with everything else that was going on. The leader of the group jabbed his shoe into my chest ruthlessly. I shrieked in a gruff whisper when I heard a cracking noise and a significant ache come from my chest, and was still out of breath and coughing while they continued to hit it over and over again. I whimpered, my voice hoarse, and pleaded for them to stop, every breath I took hurting me. They simply laughed and continued to batter me all over my body for I-don’t-know-how-long. I wished it would all be over; that they could just leave me alone. I didn’t need this—I’d never caused any trouble. I made an effort to curl myself up into a ball, bringing my knees up to my chest, which provoked them to kick me in the head. I screeched at the pain from the force of the kick, the hardness of the shoe. When I attempted to shield my head with my hands, I endured tremendous pain on my left wrist, it getting at with all their might. Tears streamed down my face, out of my control. My head was throbbing, everything becoming a blur, and I became awfully confused. Sharp pains permeated through my arms and legs. I blinked a few times, and started to imagine that I was in unusual settings: A bowling alley where I was one of the pins, being knocked down by the full-speed bowling ball heading my way. My mind rushed around all the other times I’d been harassed by them, by other people. The swirly I had received just earlier on, and what was happening currently. I shook my head hysterically from side to side, and groaned. My breaths were becoming short and shallow; it was becoming extremely difficult to breathe. “That’ll teach him.” a voice said. Open Question: Bad headache, stomach pain, extreme fatigue, muscle/ joint pain and dizziness/nausea?

Since March of this year I have been have been experiencing pain in the left side of my stomach, headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and dizziness and nausea. I have been to doctor after doctor and they have been no help as of yet. I've even been to Johns Hopkins with no luck. If you have any possible idea what it could be I would REALLY appreciate it! its a terrible pain on the lower right of my body in the front, it feels like a painful pressure inside me. it hurts when i walk and when i put pressure on it, my stomach is also pushed out as if i were bloated. i just had my period in the beginning of this week, but it was kind of short, i'm not at the this time and never have been in the past sexually active. also last night i was drinking so i'm not sure if that could have something to do with it, its never happened to me before when i drank so i'm not sure. but the pain is in the area of my appendix, but i would imagine if it were that the pain would be a little more unbearable then it is now more

Open Question: Do I have a stomach ulcer?

After a night of heavy drinking 2 weeks ago (had taken 1 ibuprofen that night) the next day I had a dull ache on my left side, I also noticed an enlarged vein in my left srotum (not sure if this was related.) It's been 2 weeks and it seems like the pain just moves around.. started in my side, then became a burning sensation under my left rib cage, then a dull ache in my center chest, sometimes with a dull lower back ache. I started taking some prilosec and it seemed like it was working for a few days for the burning, but whatever it is seems to flare up in the middle of the night, my left side feels soft and watery at night, but not painful really. But I always wake up with my lower back slightly sore. Any ideas?also, don't have much of an appetite.. but have been eating healthy and drinking lots of water for 2 weeks now. more

Today I woke up feeling extremely ill. My heart was pounding uncontrollably fast and the room felt like it was literally moving. My eyes kept moving back and forth (like when ur in the car looking out the window at the highway) I threw a few times but there was nothing in my stomach. I tried holding my head with my arms to ease the dizziness but both my arms felt kinds tingly and numb at some areas. My temp kept changing from hot to cold and I was sweating and shaking a lil. Open Question: My period is late, could I be pregnant?

I'm on birth control, and this month I would take a few pills a little late. Usually I take them around 11 at night, sometimes I wake up in the morning and take them, so I thought as long as I take them within the 24 hours. I was in my third week of my pills and I had sex, he usually uses the pull out method but this time he came inside me. Then we had sex again on Monday though he didn't come directly inside of me, and it was the beginning of my inactive pills. And usually I dont take the inactive pills and I stll get my withdrawel period. But this week, theres no sign of bleeding or bloating or cramping. And I'm suppose to get it by now, though I do have thre days left of the inactive pill. I'm just worried. I also been having this stomach pain, on the right side of my belly button, and whenever I pee I feel alot of pressure when I'm finishing and then i still have the urge to go more. So does any of this mean I'm pregnant? more
