ive had brown discharge now for 3 weeks i thought it was a period but they don't last 3 weeks Im 17,neally 18 ive been getting pains in my stomach at the bottom left side i don't have a period until every 3 months its never on time i don't have std me and my partner were virgins when we met and we been together since 15 years old and i know he hasn't cheated. im not on the pill i thought i was pregnant a few weeks ago about a month ago but i went to doctors and had urine sample sent to lab and it came back i wasn't pregnant do you have any idea what this is? is it a period? more

Some constructive criticism and advice would be helpful, thanks I stared wide eyed at the pale man hovering over his manhood in pain; he groaned and cursed slouching against my bedroom wall. “Why do you women always hit there?” he moaned clutching his stomach. I recovered form the shock and observed my intruder. “Are you really a vampire?” I asked suspiciously. One thing I knew for sure was that he was very good looking, and very pale- but surely that wasn’t enough to prove that he wasn’t human. “Yes” he hissed. “Why is it so hard to believe? The world is obsessed with us these days yet you don’t believe we actually exist!” I kneeled down to get a closer look and pursed my lips doubtfully scrutinizing him. “If you’re a vampire then you shouldn’t feel pain from my kick, you are supposed to be really strong and have fast reflexes and super senses” I lectured. “Where did you get that crap from?” he asked looking aghast. “It says so in most books, like aren’t you supposed to have sharp sense like sense of smell and stuff like that, you know like from the novel Twilight?” I questioned feeling less afraid, but actually more curious. “I can smell enough iron in your blood…and your next menstrual period, yours is actually very soon” he pointed out. I scrunched my nose in disgust, he could pre-smell my period? “That’s disgusting” I commented. “I know, bleeding from your vagina? What on earth was god thinking when he created women” I punched him in the gut for such an outrageous and unnecessary remark. “I’m sure the pansy-a.ssed Edward could also smell Bella’s morning breath too with his sharp senses” he sneered, and then added “good thing he’s immortal” I rolled my eyes at his immaturity, though he did have a point. “Do you have any special abilities? Like Edward could read minds, though he couldn’t read Bella’s because-“ “There was nothing to read in that empty head?” he finished for me. I frowned and slumped against the wall next to him. “How...do you become a vampire?” I asked, convinced that fiction is not a fact regarding vampires. He looked like he debated with himself whether he should answer my question or not. “When you’re a human and you get killed, but you’ve sinned badly you can’t go to heaven or hell, so you end up being a vampire until you redeem yourself” he explained. I frowned, how bad must a sin be? “Who killed you?” I blurted out, without thinking over my question before opening my mouth. Open Question: I Need Help With Anger.?

For many years of my life i have bottled up anger...mainly because as a kid if i let it out my dad would go ape s**t on me for what every i did (like punching a wall, or yelling out loud etc) Ive learnt to keep my anger bottled up and every time i get angry now my insides start to hurt...like stomach pains and rib pains. I need a way to release my anger before i do something i will regret, Ive tried working out and martial arts but i find that while im doing it i keep thinking about whoever or whatever made me angry and i don't let it go. Open Question: Has anyone else felt like this and then gone into labour?

I have been having a mild dull ache around my back and stomach on and off since last night and really bad 'trapped nerve' like pain by my pelvis and upper thighs. I am 37 + 3 today and just wondering of this is just everything getting ready for the next few weeks, or could it be a sign that things are about to happen? Can not get in touch with my midwife so was curious to see if others ever felt like this and what happened? I am not overly worried about it as the baby is still moving around like mad, just interested to hear other peoples experiences :) more

Open Question: 37 weeks+2 days, and in alot of pain!?

hey i am in so much discomfort and pain its unreal...i cant move! im not just being dramatic i really can't! Baby has been in position for coming up 3 weeks and now is just pushing down. i am getting pains in lower stomach and shooting pains right down! me an my husband had sex last night to try an get things moving. But still the same! I cant sit too long, i cant stand too long i cant walk to long ect... without feeling sick and in pain! is anyone else feeling like this? if so is there anything you do/did to ease pains? And does anyone think that this could be early start of labour? i have had 2 midwifes (due to move) and both think that i am going to be early! xI am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnantby the way this is my second baby...just with first i was 4 days over and it was made clear that i was in labour lol! i was fine right up to when imy waters broke xoh and i dont want to go into hospital untill i really need to as i have a 19 month old son and all my family live like 5 hours away as i have just moved and they need to look after him for me an obv if they come down an im not in labour then its a wasted journey! more

Hi guys, I've been having a few too many health problems this last week, Here let me make do this in a list Sunday : An abscess I had a while ago, I noticed had come back, It started to hurt my tooth. Monday : The abscess got a whole lot worse and did what it did last time... Balloon my face up, I went to the dentist, He said its the nastiest thing an abscess has caused since starting his job (must be pretty bad huh) Got 2 lots of antibiotics (200mg Metronidazole + 250mg of Amoxicillin) to be taken 3 times a day regular intervals Tuesday: Day 2 of taking my antibiotics, I could see they have started to do their job, Last thing at night I have a pic of my abscess (view here: ) Also on this day, I become really quite ill, I began to get a cold, Today was roasting hot, yet i was wrapped up in bed shivering, Also had major headaches + diarrhoea. Wednesday: Ok, I forgot to mention, During Monday up until now i have totally lost my apatite, I've merely had a couple of bananas since Monday. Okay, where was we, Wednesday, Today i start feeling a little better, I went back to work (I work 2 shifts per day afternoon shift + night shift) I felt fine up until i had a nap in between my shifts and woke up to go to night shift, I had awful sharp pains in my stomach, Felt extremely weak and had no energy what so ever) I still go to work however. When i get home, i thought maybe i should just force feed myself, so I ate alot of stuff. Went to bed... actually had a decent night sleep instead of the 3-5ish hours I've been having. Thursday: Wake up feeling fine and dandy, Again up until the night shift, been feeling sick all night, After my shift i get home, stuck my head down the toilet and I've been sick, Just once So hey, I hope you enjoyed my weeks diary, and I hope you can give me some advise? Open Question: Should I go back to my doctor?

A few months ago I went to the doctor because I had stomach pains- not severe, just slight and annoying. I told her that they got slightly worse when I was lifting bags of animal food at college so she said "you have a pulled muscle" and sent me away with some pain killers. I was fine for awhile after that. Then a few months after that, I began having trouble sleeping so I started on Nytol tablets, around the same time I got more severe stomach pains directly beneath my bottom rib on my left hand side, I noticed that there was a hard bump there too. I thought maybe it was the Nytol, but it carried on after I stopped taking them. I had a whole week of the pain that time, and since then I have had occasional twinges in the same place. My question is, do I bother with the doctor? Because seriously, when I mention to my mum and dad that I have the pain they just tend to think I am moaning, my mum in paticular will just say "Ah well" then carries on with what she is doing, so should I even bother going to the doctors if my mum doesn't think it is serious? more

Open Question: Whats wrong with my bowels?

First I have been diagnosed with Severe Bulimia. Ok, so I stopped laxatives, however now before i go to the toliet after about 3/4 days of constipation I get really terrible, terrible pains in my stomach. Then when it comes out - my stools are black.Its like tarry black, no bright blood. I sometimes get blood in my vomit too, but only bright blood. more

Open Question: Flu or new hay fever?

Runny nose and lots of sneezing. Runny eyes, but not sore. Blocked and sore ears. Coughing. Joint aches, mostly upper body but some knee and ankle pain. Stomach aches and no appetite. Able to work as normal, but feeling wiped out at end of the day but fever makes it hard to sleep. Does this sound more like flu or hay fever? I've never had hay fever before, so don't really know the difference. Also, I'm not one of those saddos that whine about "manflu"... If I've got a cold, I grab a tissue and get back to work. It takes a lot to bring me down.Glasgow, so yeah plenty of opportunity to catch swine flu here too, probably the only reason why I'm asking.I might pick it up, but I'd probably lay down for a rest as well. more

Open Question: I have a pain on the bottom of my belly , just above the pubic hair.?

The pain is above the pubic line and i feel the pain going thru the other side ( back ) so i feel it from the front of my belly to the bootom of my back. I am not on my period nor due my period so it is not cramps. The pain is almost bearable but i am just worried about this. As i said the pain is on the bottom of my stomach and it goes thru my lower back , i hope i have explained this properly so that i can get proper answers. i have an abscess on the right side of my belly button but that is being dealt with antibiotics and attending the nurse every 3 days and it is healing good. Could this pain be some thing to do with the abscess. i am so unsure of this. Lots of answers please - i would like to even hear from any nurse ?? Thanks more

Resolved Question: Has anyone got any experience on bloat/gastric torsion?

Could i have some nice suggestions of what to do please? I just want to no if i should take her to emergency vet or if im being silly? My boxer is well in herself and i must stress this, she has terrible wind (dont no if this is relevant lol) and her stomach seem slightly swollen (not much at all), shes walking about and doesnt seem in pain, but with her stomach being swollen dont no what to do. I hear so much about gastric torsion and its scary, but from what ive read she doesnt have any other symtoms, shes eating, drinking, had a play outside, no temperature and gums are healthy pink. I dont want snotty answers she is insured so it really doesnt matter about the cost but part of me thinks im being paranoid, surely the dog would be unwell in itself if it was bloat. Open Question: Why can't i cry at school? Even when i feel like crying, or i can cry at home over the same thing?

I frequently suffer from unexplained crying fits when i'm at home, and over things that happen at school/with friends outside. I'm always stressed and get severe stomach and back pain, none of my relationships with my friends are the best, and i was bullied once to the point i considered suicide. But whereas i'm always constantly crying at home, at school or just in the outside in general, i've never cried. I only cried once when i had a girl two years above me hit my thumb as hard as she could with a hockey stick on the coldest day of the year when i was about nine as a joke. Even then it was just out of pain, and not any tears. Just watery eyes. Other than that i've never been known to cry at school. Even when i found out my grandad had died when i was at school, i felt sad, but didn't cry.What do you think about it?Why can't i cry?It's always been an issue for me that when i fell out with my friends, or they did something to me to make me not want to be with them anymore, they would cry. And they would suddenly be in the right because they cried and that meant it was my fault. That i'd hurt them. Crying to me always just seemed like a tool to get attention. But like the other day, my head hurt so much because i needed to cry so much because i needed to let it out, and i just couldn't. I physically couldn't at all.Actually...i don't think i've ever cried in front of anyone. Only when like my mum or my dad wouldn't let me go. Even then i wouldn't properly cry more

Resolved Question: every time i eat i get flu like symptoms?

im certain its got something to do with my stomach because that swells but then the roof of my mouth becomes so sore and tender then the pain goes into my nose and ears, i cough and sneeze and my nose runs, i feel so weary, ive been to the doctors a few times now but hes stumped to what it is, he sent me for a x ray on my nose which showed nothing yet the pain was awful at the time of the x ray, im very wheezy especially on a night in bed, this has been going on for a few years now off and on but this time its been constant for 3 months, ive lost 2 stone in weight, im cutting things out of my diet to see if anything in particular is setting it off, i know now alcohol, chocolate and coffee make it worse so ive cut them out all together, ive seen 3 different doctors but no help, can anyone give me some advice please. more

I went to a market in london it was very long journey getting there and i was in the back, it was very hot where i was. When we got to the market i kept getting a pain in my belly as if i was going to have to run to a toilet any second! i didn't know if i needed to be sick or go toilet that sort of feeling. I kept on drinking water but i was very hot and felt really ill! i told the girls i need to sit down because i thought i was going to be sick i come over all faint and shakey and so i did. I felt ok so we carried on walking and then all of a sudden i felt as though i was going to faint i got a carrier bag to be sick in and it was so much! i'm really worried i may of harmed the baby? All i can think of was the night before i didn't really eat good (one off) because of all that happened with Michael Jackson and i was really down that day. Do you think it was to do with that? Now all this week i keep getting upper stomach pains again it feel like i've been winded or something i really cant explain it. I've had abdominal pain for the last two years, and it's usually constant. I've been multiple doctors, and i've had multiple tests, but they can't seem to figure out what it is. Weird, eh? Anyways, my stomach always seems upset. I always get naseaus after i eat, but tums usually work. The pain is in my upper stomach, and down my sides. It's usually gas though... Resolved Question: Am i allergic to morphine?

Hi, due to back pains which i have had for quite some time now, my doctor has put me on morphine based tablets (Oxycontin 30mg). After having only my second dose, i find that i have pain in my stomach just below the ribs, in the centre, i am unable to keep any food down nor can i drink tea without being sick. I also find my feet have swollen, on the top, but i do not have swollen toes. However, when my feet are like this i am unable to move my toes as its really painful. Am i allergic to Oxycontin? and should i stop taking it? Thanks for any help on this. more

Open Question: Right, don't start yelling at me but can i mix these drugs together as one off?

On monday, I am having a painful procedure done and I will not be givin pain relief. Would it be okay to take before i go, paracetamol, codeine and Iboprofen? I have no adverse effects to any of the drugs and have mixed combinations of two of these together before but was just wondering if taking the three as a one off might be a little more pain relief as needed. Of course I would make sure I had eaten as i know it's damaging to take iboprofen on an empty stomach. Open Question: Had an appt at the with a Doctor last night!?

Hi all, I was worried last night as had been getting pains in my stomach. I am 7w 4d pregnant and the doctor in the hospital advised me to come up. So when i got there, she brought me into a room, and took all my details, then said she was going to do a scan. Firstly she checked for etopic pregnancy, but baby def in the womb, then she wanted to find a heart beat. And after alot of rolling about on my stomach, she found the flicker she was looking for, it was tiny!!!. On ym scan picture which she gave me a copy of the baby only measured 0.51cm, and she date I was 6w 3d, which must mean i ovulated later than i thought! But I am so happy everything was fine, and thanks to everyone who gave me advice. Anyway, in your pregnancy did you get worried and feelings you never had before? more

Ive got a tender pain in my lower abdominal area, ive just got back from holiday where i had an upset stomach so im wondering if my pill may not have worked. I havent missed a period as im running 2 pill packets together and am half way through the second one so dont know if ive missed it or not. Hi everyone, From I found out I was pregnant I have been experiencing niggles in my lower stomach, which everyone doctors included advised was normal as its my uterus stretching for baby. Today I am 7w 3days and from yesterday evening I have had this feeling of like i have been winded, and every hour or so am getting really sharp pains in my lower tummy, making me stop whatever i am doing. I have called the hospital as my doctors did not have anyone free (UK) and they are going to call me back. I go to the bathroom often. I eat a lot. Maybe it could be because I drink a lot of pop? Or because I have a crappy diet. I love to eat chicken, I don't eat fruits or drink juice. It seems like I'm "not healthy" but every time I go to the doctor they just say that I'm constipated but now it just seems like its not the case. It could be something else. I've had incredibly painful hiccups all day. They've been very uncomfortable, even stopping me from doing my homework, although I doubt my teachers will believe me when I say that I couldn't do my work because of my stupid spastic hiccups. At the moment, my hiccups are gone, but I've been left unable to breathe properly, a bad stomach ache, a painful chest and disgusting sticky spit. What the heck's going on!? I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed at 20 weeks with spd, with pain in my lower stomach hips legs groin and back. Have only been given a tubigrip bandage which isn't really helping. Need to see the doc for some pain killers as paracetamol isn't working, Anyone know what they give you, as anything with codeine in it makes me really ill and very sick. Resolved Question: Odd Experience Which Shouldn't be Odd.... But Why Do I Feel This Way When I'm With Someone?

I do realise this is a really long story and a bit funny on the eyes, but I'd appreciate if somebody could please go through this and offer some advice. This is what happened: I was at a barbeque party over the weekend. It was beautiful weather and everyone was in a great mood, cheery. I'd had a drink or two but wasn't properly drunk, just slightly on a buzz. So at this party was an attractive guy there I'd met through friends, we'd seen each other a couple of times before and I was hoping he'd show up. It was really warm outside and he's on the same high, being very flirty and I am with him. So after a while we find a quiet spot to be alone. It's a bit hazy at this point. I've never really been very intimate with men, of course I can get on with the best of them but I've only ever been with one guy before and it was never properly. It was a really bad and abusive relationship and I vowed since not to commit myself to any relationships but to just enjoy being young and free. But I hadn't involved myself intimately with anyone since. So, at this party, I was just trying to enjoy this guy's company but naturally, at the same time it felt uncomfortable. But we were both in a good mood and I guess I was attracted to him. Or attracted to what he saw in me, god knows. But I was trying to not let anything happen, and he was making his passes like I knew he would. The weirdest thing is that there was a point where tears were welling up in my eyes and I felt something so strongly. But it was such a strange and awkward and 'inconvenient' feeling I just pushed it down. I don't know if he noticed. I just kept thinking it was too hot and I had probably drunk too much. Maybe I've never understood what it's supposed to be like? But he carried on and I sort of got into it after that. Except that I'm not really feeling anything, I just feel like I want him to be satsified and for him to get whatever he wants to get and for it all to be over. I couldn't even take all my clothes off, I didn't want him to see my body. He did ask me at one point if I was ok because I couldn't get into it properly but everytime that feeling of tears welling came up again, I just forced myself harder into it even more until after, at the end of it, it had just felt like such an incredibly horrible and empty act. And I felt ashamed, couldn't make eyes with him and had to apologise to him since I couldn't get into it properly. He was nice and just said it was ok, or pretended it was ok. Afterwards, he did the slightly awkward and standard gentlemanly, required "well, we normally see each other at blah blah and so maybe I'll see you then, " and I cracked him a big smile and tried to make him feel less awkward about what was obviously awkward, said a couple of things and bye. In case anyone's thinking it, I have sought professional help for that first relationship but needless to say, the scars still remain. But I feel I have come a long way since and have moved on. I take full responsibility for myself for feeling that way and I don't blame him at all. It wasn't his fault that I felt that way. But ever since that moment, something's happening to me. I feel so angry and upset and I get actual stomach pains when I think about it. I just feel so, so annoyed with myself, and that I deserve everything bad at this point. And I don't know how to stop feeling this way. And I'm not sure if I'm sexually dysfunctional or what is wrong with me. Maybe some people are just not supposed to feel happy? Maybe some people just aren't cut out to enjoy sex. I can't buy this whole "someone out there" fantasy. I'm really worried that maybe I'm just not supposed to feel happy, I can't. I know it was wrong for me to have sex when I wasn't sure and confused and mixed-up but in that moment you just go with it. I know I probably sound naive and a bit screwed-up, but I'm not really sure what it was all about and it's really getting me down? And I feel like I don't know who to ask or if I can talk about it. Voting Question: Should I be worried... Kidney Infection?

I'm a young, female Yesterday I had really, really bad back and stomach ache. It was so bad I could barely standup, I had to because I had to go out but when stood up I had to hunch over. It was so bad standing up I felt really faint (because it was so tiring) The pain gradually got worse and worse, It was so bad at one point it made me vomit. The pain went gradually and its been gone about 10 hours but now my back has a dull aching sensation and I'm worried it may be coming back :S I know it may sound wierd and YES I'm going to the doctors if I need to but is it much to worry about. Voting Question: urine infection and labour?

i was taken to hospital at 3am on tuesday morning with excruciating pains and tightening in my stomach. They gave me Steroid injections to mature my baby's lungs, as they thought he was coming there and then. They informed SCBU about it, and had everything waiting for his birth, but he didnt come. it was all down to a urine infection (they think), which they gave me antibiotics for. i am till getting slight pains now, the same kind of pain but not as bad, and with no tightening. it is worrying me, as i am scared that i will go into labour and i am only 30 weeks tomorrow. has this happened to you, and did you give birth, or did bubba hang in there untill it was due? how likely is it that i will have him early? I no that if he was born he would most likely be fine, but obviously i would rather he hung in there untill hes good and ready. more

Resolved Question: What was wrong with me?

Last night I had all these really weird symptoms... I felt a slight pain in my stomach so I decided not to go out and went to bed early. The abdominal pain got progressively worse throughout the night and was really severe (to point where I couldn't walk straight or focus properly.) I kept crying (not something I usually do) and my breathing was really rapid. Fatigue Sweating a lot Fever Headache and a pain behind my eyes My eyes were sort of sticking closed when I blinked My whole body felt really tender and touch sensitive I couldn't really feel my hands/feet...sort of had a pins&needles feeling. I woke up at about 3am and felt ridiculously thirsty. i drank about 2 litres of water and went back to sleep. I feel ok now except for that I'm wrecked and have a headache....ha What was wrong with me??? I thought maybe I just needed water but the symptoms were SO severe I'm not sure.... Help?Also, if i tried to say, move my arm or something...it felt like my reactions were slow. Like my brain wasn't connected to my nerves properly Oh and i'm 19 btwI'm not pregnant...I haven't had sex in months since my last bf... And also...I'm from Ireland...Don't think it was swine flu..lol more
